Love the veggie lo mein. It's amazing also I love the egg rolls. It was my 1st time trying this place because I just moved here from further south Florida. Thank you for having my comfort food!

It wasn't good! the lo mein noodles were spaghetti that was so dry it had no flavor and the sesame chicken was over cooked and dried out rubbery

The best in the county! Hands down! Their wings are never over cooked and taste amazing! I think its better in flavor and quality than buying it in NYC.

The food is meh. I judge a Chinese restaurant by their hot and sour soup. Consistency, flavor, heat, sourness, contents. King chef failed on all aspects of my judging but for heat. Bad flavor, jelly like consistency, few veggies, no sour taste. Not inedible but nothing close to good. The same general description can be made of the other items I've tried. Just meh. Can't tell if it is their recipe or just the constant yelling and surly attitude from everyone in the place but the two young girls up front. Not worth it.

They have the best take-out Chinese anywhere in my area. It's always fresh and hot and their staff is extremely polite. Also with covid, they now have delivery through one of the more common delivery services. Not sure if I'm allowed to mention them or not in a review so if you want to look them up it should come up who the delivery service is.

So far this has been the best Chinese we’ve had since moving to Florida 5 years ago!!!

Our favorite Chinese food around! The girls at the counter are always so friendly. The only complaint I have is the American lady at the counter, she’s always screaming and yelling at the one young girl. Very unprofessional but still give five stars because this is always our favorite! Great for and very generous portions

So yummy. I had the shrimp in lobster sauce (with meat) and the crab king is believe it was called. Big portions, definitely have leftovers! 1st meal while here on vaca and was 5 stars for sure!

We normally get our Chinese take out from another place but they don’t delivery. We didn’t want to go out so we looked on line and found King Chef. Delivery time was about half an hour. Food came on time. And to our surprise .... the food was AMAZING. Best Chinese food we have had in a very long time. The portions sizes were huge ... we all have enough left over for another meal. Highly recommend trying this place.

The food is good. The owner is great. They have gotten our business for a long time. They have an employee who is rude, condescending, disrespectful and we will not be going back. An error was made on the order when I asked to see the receipt she became nasty. When my husband called her out on her attitude she became ghetto shrugging her shoulders saying she did not care. Reminded me of inmate behavior. As much as I like the owner we will not be going back. The owner never asked her to be quiet. She just apologized for the rude behavior explaining her employee had just gotten into

Recommended by a friend of mine who lives in the area....I placed an order and all I can say is.... BEST Chinese Food around! OMG! Delicious, piping hot, huge servings and the containers were stuffed full! Just bought food for my whole family from here and they got my order wrong. I got orange chicken for my 2 year old and they gave us general Tao's chicken which was spicy. We called to see if we could get what we ordered and they said they gave us the right thing but everything on the menu is spicy. My daughter is 2 and cant handle spicy food at all. They didn't apologize for it and said there was nothing they could do. Never going back there!

Consistently good quality food. Wait time is minimal. Staff is friendly and receipts are provided. They accept card and cash. I primarily order over the phone and pick up the order. Orders have always been correct. Quantity of food is good. The fried rice and lo mein noodles are better than other local restaurants of the type. We also order in the late evening around 9pm and food is fresh. Seems odd to say that but I say it because other Chinese food locations have been not as good in the late evening.
Restaurant is always clean, well lit, and parking lot is in a well lit plaza.

Perfect! Good portion expertly prepared. Like many Chinese take-outs, this is your standard walk up, with the same menu and kids in the dining area playing video games on hand-held devices. I guess day care is expensive.
Anyway, my chicken and broccoli was really good. And it was served with a smile. Now, I like that. Hail to the King!

Since moving to homosassa I've been searching for good Chinese food and decided to make the drive to king chef... definitely not worth the drive or the money. Up charge for an egg roll with the lunch special, krab Rangoon was hard and the sweet and sour chicken once cooled becomes hard and chewy this place is just not any good especially compared to my old regular Chinese food restaurant. Only gave me one half full sweet and sour sauce to be used with an entire order of sweet and sour chicken and an order of krab Rangoon. The cabbage inside the egg roll was soggy and tasted old rendering

I love this place so much!! Their food is amazing and they are so nice!!! I had the sesame chicken and it was really good, some of the best sesame chicken I've had in a while. The people there are so nice and I had dinner with one other person all for about $15. This place is great food and cheap!!

I have tried a few other Chinese take out places and this seems to be the best. I especially like their seafood soup and dumplings. My husband says the sweet and sour chicken and Generals chicken is great. I would like to see miso soup and tofu dishes added to the menu. Great for take out not for dine in.

Stopped In here after passing by, Amy is really nice and welcoming. Ordered the small Chicken Lo Mein and it was enough to get at least 2 platefuls from the box. My wife ordered the egg drop soup and said it was really good. The place is very clean, you can see them cooking up your order, prices are reasonable too compared to other places. I'd probably opt this place over a buffet any day.

I've been down here for three years from NY and I was so happy to find this restaurant. It's a great family-owned and operated place. The food is great and the people are so friendly and welcoming. I've had Chinese food from other places around that say they are NY style,Mobutu they're not. I get the General Tso's and the sauce is very good.

I've seen quite a few Chinese restaurants come and go in this location, but as we were walking into publix to go grocery shopping I could smell the food coming from all the way down the strip, so we decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! We usually order from Golden Wok on Mariner, King Chef is much closer and very comparable. We got the large orange chicken and large pork lo mein. The orange chicken was delicious and there weren't any pieces that were 90% breading and 10% chicken like many of the Chinese restaurants around. It was fresh and flavorful. The lo mein could be

Restaurant has been cleaned up by its new young owners which is a big improvement over previous operators.
Writing this review after a two take out dinners during opening week and a luncheon take out today. Curry Chicken dinner was very good. Big pieces of chicken with various veggies and excellent fried rice. My wife enjoyed sweet & sour shrimp again very good and a large portion. Probably 30 luncheon specials (typical) from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
