A cataract is a condition wherein the natural lens in your eye becomes cloudy or yellowed and hardened, resulting in diminished or distorted vision. Cataracts typically come about as you age, but the onset may be earlier than you think. Because of this, it's important to receive regular eye exams and be aware of the symptoms of cataracts.
With standard cataract surgery, the natural eye lens is replaced with a mono-focal synthetic intraocular lens (IOL) and a new glasses prescription is required after surgery in order to achieve your best vision. A standard formula is used to calculate the prescription of the lens and the surgery is performed with a scalpel.

Dr. Jackson and the Dean Mcgee staff are amazing. They helped me get my vision back. They made me feel comfortable when I was anxious or nervous about anything. I highly recommend them.

Wait time was horrible , did not offer dark glasses for dilated eyes and generally felt like I was not in the USA, treated like cattle. Wont go back. My time is as important as theirs.

We have been going here weekly for almost 2 years with my fathers eye issues due to cancer. Dr. Morreau, Nurse Kim and all of her other staff are wonderful! Dr Morreau is phenomenal and takes time to answer any questions! Highly recommend!

Similar experience.... Completely disrespectful of others time. Appointment was nearly two hours ago and I'm still waiting to see the doctor. There are plenty of other eye specialist in town but I guess they don't care.

Only leaving a star so I can leave a review. Absolutely ridiculous to check in at 9:30 am for a 9:45 appointment time after waiting SEVERAL months to just get seen and then at 12:00pm NOON still waiting... NO I think not! Been coming here for so long cannot believe this happened to my daughter! She is disabled and deserves to be treated better than that! Find another place to go! Unless you like waiting for and hr and 10 minutes is what they had us waiting after eye dilation before we gave up and left..

I had an appointment for a vision screening at 1:30 and was scheduled to see the doctor at 2. I checked in at 1:18 and was brought back for my screening promptly at 1:30. The test took about 5 minutes. I had absolutely no problem waiting for my appointment with the doctor. By 2:40 I was still sitting in the waiting room. I could not stay because I had other obligations. When I went to the front counter to let them know I had to leave the lady at the counter acted like I was a horrible person for not waiting. When I said that I couldn't and said I would like a call about my results I was told I

I love the people that work here. The doctors and nurses and all other staff are always helpful and kind. The only problem I have and I know most people have is how long it takes on any given day to get your appointments done. I spend 10X more time in the waiting room than I do in the chair seeing the doctor. I have to plan the majority of my day around my one appointment here. It usually takes minimum of 2 hours of waiting to see the doctor for 10 minutes max. I also drive between Tulsa and OKC to see my doctor here. If it wasn't for the great people and the great doctors I wouldn't deal with

Over priced plus bad customer service. I recommend go to other places where they take eye insurance not just medical insurance. You will end up paying ~$400 for just regular eye checkup where it should be free at other places.

I’ve been here since 10:00. My appointment was at 10:30 it’s now 12:00 a d I still haven’t been seen by Dr Kiami. This is the slowest office ever.. plus I have another appointment at 1:30 at another Dr. They want you here in time but make you wait for hours. It’s horrible plus I drove from Tulsa. It’s terrible booking. The Dr probably will probably spend less than 10 minutes with me.

The doctors are really skilled and very professional. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous. Three to four hour wait for a scheduled appointment. Upon checking in at the front office the clerk ask for payment and broadcast the balance to all the patients in the lobby. The clerk was kind in asking, but it seems that this practice is against privacy acts. It is in poor taste.

I started going to Dean McGee in January 2020. While it has been a long process to get my eye issues under control, I am in the right place. Dr Kamran Riaz and all of the staff in the Cornea Clinic are truly amazing.
The are a very busy place, but do their best to take great care of you.

I have also found the billing office to be very helpful and always get an answer to my questions. Thank you for all each of you do!

I had my eyes checked last April 2019. It's now September 2019 and I have just received a third bill. The billing is so confusing and the billing office is so hard to communicate with and takes a day just to get a simple answer. I would rather talk to the cable company! I'm not sure why Dean McGee chooses to Nickel and dime their patients, but they do. I really like my doctor but my next eye exam will take place at the mall.

I took my college age daughter here for the first time and we were impressed. She was nervous because we had seen the same pediatric eye dr her whole life and she didn't want to change. She was very comfortable once she saw the doctor and felt great about the service.
