Spindrift Inn
Built in 1946, the Spindrift Inn has been a landmark in Manzanita for more than 70 years. And while the rooms have been updated to include comfortable beds and contemporary living spaces, the quaint, historical charm can still be felt from the moment you walk through the front doors. Spindrift Inn is located right in the heart of Manzanita only 2blocks from the Pacific Ocean.

Step out the front doors right onto Laneda Avenue, where all the action happens. There is always something to do in Manzanita, whether it's the charming Farmers Market, shopping the eclectic boutiques, craft stores and bakeries, or a hike to the top of Neahkahnie Mountain to observe the migrating Gray Whales.
Services
We look forward to meeting you during your stay at the Spindrift Inn. We truly hope that your stay is all that you hope it to be and more. Please feel welcome to let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable. The village of Manzanita is situated just off the Oregon Coast Highway 101 where Neahkahnie Mountain meets the Pacific Ocean.
Each recently-updated room at the Spindrift Inn combines contemporary furniture and trendy details with the allure of stepping back in time to a more charming time. Our rooms feature one bed or two, sleeper sofas, kitchenettes, living areas and plenty of natural light. Several rooms are even pet-friendly.
If your perfect vacation includes a spot that's close to the ocean or within walking distance of shops and restaurants then you are in luck, because the Spindrift Inn has both. There are a sundry of unique and interesting coastal shops to visit, including craft stores, boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants serving fresh, locally-sourced foods.
Closing in on 75 years now, one little north Oregon coast motel has weathered the best and the worst of times in Manzanita. The Spindrift Inn has become a quiet little hotspot in the tiny town, a delightful mix of the modern and historic. Among the town's more reasonably priced accommodations (and remarkably so), they offer up a generous amount of quaintness for a smaller-than-average price.
No matter the season, there is always a plethora of activities and things to do during your stay in Manzanita. Whether the warm summer sun is tantalizing your bare arms, or the winter wind is churning the Pacific Ocean waves, you will find all kinds of things to enjoy. The town of Manzanita is truly a picturesque beach town that offers a great coastal vacation experience.

Awesome little B&B. Steps away from the beach. Peaceful and quiet. Plenty of food places around to choose from. Highly recommend.

The Google description does not do it justice! This is the cutest little place, super convenient location and just adorable decor. I didn’t want to leave!

The Spindrift is such a sweet place to stay, in the loveliest of coastal Oregon towns. We have been repeat visitors and will keep on going any time of year! The ocean is right there, the rooms are clean and super comfortable, and the management excellent. If I could give 10 stars I would. It's a place where you find beauty and good food and the nicest of people!

Great stay in one of our favorite towns. Contact-less check in and check, walk to the grocery store and wine bar. And water pressure in the shower to be jealous of! Thanks for a great night stay!

Disappointing in all respects. Bug bodies in the windowsill. Kitchen amenities are less that sparse. Cleaning better won’t make up for this sadly dated motel. Manzanita is a relaxing seaside repose away from the tourist hub. Yet, this motel is a gross disappointment. Don’t wast your money and time staying at the worst place by one of the very the best beaches in the US!

Reasonable room at a reasonable price in the center of town, but off the main road, so quiet. Mex restaurant in same building very good. Room serviceable, not luxurious, but clean. Everything worked, after a small toilet issue. Neighbors were quiet. I'd stay there again.

There were several good things about the hotel. The outside was very cute, and the window boxes of flowers were nice. The location was great; less than a five minute walk to the beach and close to the restaurants and shops. They did a nice job of putting restaurant menus, local information, etc. in a binder which was handy. The toiletries were nice and they have a DVD player in the room with a lot of DVD’s you can borrow. Also we never used it, but they have a lantern in the room that you can take to the beach at night. On the flip side, I think the cleanliness was lacking and they could use

The doors lock automatically so if you accidentally leave your key in the room when you go out to your car, you get locked out of the room.....and the manager doesn't answer the phone or return calls. The office was only open from 4-5pm so we waited for a return call about being locked out but never got one (this was around 6pm). Luckily, we had opened one of the windows for fresh air and we were able to pop out the screen and get in the room that way. We never did get a return call about our lockout. There isn't an option to keep the door unlocked so make sure to ALWAYS have your key in your pocket

Great, spacious room; clean, simple, better amenities (more soaps, washcloths, towels) than many comparably priced hotels. Easy walk to beach, food and coffee - what more do you need?

Too bad for us making our reservations when we did. Fires broke out all over the state and roads were closed. We wanted a couple of nights at the coast. If you don't cancel with 7 days notice they charge you a nights stay. Which was 183.00 for one of the 2 nights. Guess I feel even half that would have been fair. We decided to stay safe, and for them business is business. But they have lost any future business with us. And I will not recommend them. So be aware of this.

This inn is ideally located in the town center. It's a short walk to the white sand beach, restaurants and great coffee. The rooms are newly renovated, clean and stocked with a fridge, microwave, half and half, utensils, and lots of towels. Beds are comfy and have plenty of pillows.
Free WiFi. The inn is dog friendly and we brought both of our dogs (pug and a Frenchie). The best part? I happened to run into a nice guy on the beach who was walking his pooch. We got to talking and later that day I saw him - he's running the place. Super easy contact-free check in (COVID) and clear

This is a great little spot just blocks from the beach on the main drag in Manzanita. It is single level, dog friendly, kid friendly, with a door separating the bedroom and living area and a small kitchen.

I reserved our room on Airbnb. It's pretty straightforward- you get a key code for the room if someone is not at the desk, there are posted office hours. It's nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. I would gladly stay again.

Beautiful and quaint hotel, friendly staff, midrange affordable. $150 a night, I would definitely stay again. Only thing I would do next time is turn the fridge to slightly colder and put ice trays or something in the freezer.

Every July we take a road trip without hotel reservations, which makes for an adventure in itself. At 5pm last night I was scrolling through the options while sitting in a Cannon Beach parking lot... and found the Spindrift Inn. We got a pet-friendly room with two queen beds, microwave and fridge for $150 for two humans and two chihuahuas. All the expected supplies (towels, soaps, shampoo, coffee) per plentiful. DVD's and paperbacks to borrow in the lobby. Very quiet and only Two blocks from the beach!

Our other hotel fell thru and we ended up at the Spindrift last minute in the middle of August, high season. Luckily, they had one pet-friendly room available that could sleep 4! The staff was super nice and accommodating.

Our end unit was bright, inviting and so very clean! The room was small for the four of us but the pullout sofa bed was super comfortable and the queen in the bedroom was great too. Not sure about the other units, but we did not hear the neighbors at all. Cozy and welcome touches: nice linens and soft sheets, a plethora of fluffy towels, nice quality toiletries, mini-fridge

They have dropped the ball on us TWICE .... out of three reservations. You get what you you pay for, in every way here. Customer service is a total joke. It's a shame.

I stayed here with 3 friends, and given the four-way split, it was a good price, especially for the location, which is GREAT--only a couple of blocks from the beach!

Pros:
-Plenty of space: queen bed and foldout couch
-DVD lending library
-Kitchenette including dishes
-Pet-friendly; you even get a little doggy basket with a water bowl and extra towels!
-Friendly staff
-Q-tips in the bathroom. It's the little things.

Cons:
-Our room smelled like animal urine, and there wasn't a great way to ventilate.
-Price is a bit steep for the quality of the room, but you're paying for

My wife and our two boys (age 3.5 and 8) spend two nights at the Spindrift last weekend for a birthday/father's day celebration. Spindrift is located right in central Manzanita, with all of the restaurants, the store, bars, etc. in town right around the corner. One of the best features is that the Beach is really close, like a few 100 feet. We walked almost everywhere while we where there.

We were in room #10, and I am assuming the rest of the rooms are similar. The rooms are suites, with a kitchen/living room area, a bedroom, and a small bathroom, I am guessing somewhere between 400

Stayed here last Saturday. Overall I'm pleased with the place.

PROS:
Great deal for the price
Efficient and usable little ktichenette
Plenty of space to spread out, including a decent sized bedroom, living/TV area, and a small dining table
Location, location, location. One block from the beach

CONS:
Super thin walls. When our next door neighbors woke, up, so did we, as we could hear every single word of their conversation. They weren't speaking loudly either, but it seemed like the only thing separating us was a thin sheet of plywood.

Not sure how they can fix the noise issue without

We are staying here now. Looks are deceiving. I thought the rooms went from back parking lot to front parking lot but there is a hidden court yard inside that you wouldn't know about from the outside. It does not look like it has much charm from the outside but it is comfy. We are staying in a suite. Efficiency kitchen is fine for heating up left overs and keeping food cold but don't expect much more. Would stay here again.

Pros
Free, fast wifi
Close to beach
Comfortable bed
Friendly staff
Clean and well maintained

Cons
Cheap plastic coffee pot that tested my patience!
Room to be more

I'm a bit behind in making this review. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Spindrift about 6 weeks ago (end of June/beginning of July). I searched for a place to stay along the Oregon coast somewhere between Rockaway Beach to Cannon Beach. Spindrift had the best rate by far. I was slightly worried that the low rate would equal poor service/dirty room, but that ended up not being the case. Our room was very very clean, and had all the amenities you could hope for - blow dryer, flat screen tv with cable and dvd player, a sizeable mini fridge, coffee maker, etc. They provide a large selection

My boyfriend loves to surf near the Manzanita coast line... but he'd be pissed off if I mentioned the location... enough people know about it as it is! Haha...
He's been staying at the Spindrift Inn for years.

I really love this place. I've been here for long stays at least four times.
A block away from the beach...
Center of town, walking distance to anything you need, including Spa Manzanita across the street. LOVE IT.
Clean, original, quirky, awesome showers and products, terrific beds, cable and flat screens for those nights when you're feeling like relaxing

After pulling out a map of the Oregon coast and blindly picking a town that I hadn't been to before or felt had been overdone, I wound up staring at tiny little Manzanita on the map. A cursory check of Expedia found me a couple hotel choices, including the Spindrift Inn. With its unbelievable nightly rate and relatively positive reviews on both Yelp and Trip Advisor, it seemed the perfect place for a random road trip with one of my friends over the long holiday weekend.

I could not have been more correct. Its location is perfect, just one block from the beach and it's within walking

Escaped town on a whim for the night, leaving household chores in the dust and headed for the beach!

To my wonderful surprise, this hotel had a "red hot" deal and so I was able to get hubby, the dog and I into one of their rooms for such a great price.

I know this place has been around forever so I was not too worried about it being a divey kind of place full of chipped paint, funky furniture, bad plumbing, heat issues, and dated appliances.

OK so the furniture does not match,
but
the bed was super comfortable,
the towels were fluffy and new,
the heat is controlled by you (works

I would never have discovered the quaint town of Manzanita if it weren't for the Spindrift Inn! I would have given this little inn a 2 star rating, but the fact that my search of cheaper places to stay at the coast that was pet friendly popped up the Spindrift Inn, merits an extra star!

I had invited my ex to go with me and my dog to the coast...I was only planning a day trip. He didn't want to make the 1+ hour drive to the coast, just for the day. So I did a search for pet friendly hotels that cost less than $100 a night. This proved to be a difficult task. August is peak season
