I own a condo in Florida and Mount Vernon Property Management has done an excellent job over the last 5+ years! They found a good tenant who's been living in the property and it's been a great experience having them manage my property since I live out of the State of Florida. I started looking for a March 2021 rental in the Sarasota area in the later half of February. As one might imagine, prospects for a reasonably priced nice place were slim to none. However, in the last week of February, Jennifer at MVPM went to bat for me and hit a home run! I'm very happy with my rental! I found MVPM to be professional, friendly, very helpful and responsive. UPDATE: My first lease through them started January 1 2018 and am in my second year and plan on staying here unless the owner decides not to continue renting unit out. I have had the normal maintenance issues come up and they are always professional, compassionate and just plain fast at getting to you, especially when our A/C when out.

I have used Mount Vernon Property Management for years, to take care of a property I own in Sarasota. They have always been extremely professional and very responsive. I have been through multiple tenants, and had some maintenance issues -- all typical of a long-term rental property. The folks at Mt. Vernon always communicate issues clearly and aquickly, and get problems taken care of right away and at a competitive price. Most importantly, they have been fantastic at vetting tenants and keeping the place rented. They take much of the stress and hassle out of owning a rental property!

VERY poor experience. They are very shady & not tenant friendly.
I was a tenant for 3 years. Mount Vernon's responsiveness & communication was weak & inconsistant. Upon vacating the premises, they tried to keep a huge portion of my security deposit for items that would normally be considered normal wear & tear. Part of which was a charge to have the carpets proffesionally cleaned after I already did and provided a receipt. After pressing the issue, they provided a copy of their invoice, which was for a completely different property.
I finally had to settle for an amount lesser than I should because
