So, this is an updated review. Eight months into Covid, we are so thankful for this place. The takeout food from these relatively new owners has evolved...portions generous, healthy choices of food, and freshly prepared. We have had some bad and expensive take-out lately, but, over the course of months, Mr. Wonton has been great and one of the best places in town! P.S. pay by cash, since they chage a fee for credit cards.

Please be advised that this restaurant charges a corona virus premium of 3.9% to all the orders. This charge is not noted in their pricing at the website. What is the purpose of helping the local eateries when they practice these deceitful pricing schemes to their old customers. I'm putting a mask on this restaurant for the duration and beyond

Take note. It has been a while since we've been here. The food was just so so, nothing special. This included fried rice, lo mein and shredded pork.
Something new we noticed. Their food servings are now smaller. No longer offer pt or qt, but a smaller size more like half pt and pint & a half. Same for their flat plastic containers. They just say large or small.
Also, we didn't get any fortune cookies? An over site?
Last, they have now added a $3.99 service charge to the bill. Nothing has really changed since the start of the pandemic to justify adding this charge. Looks like they

Everyone who left a bad review is probably the product of kissing cousins. It's not the best but not the worst. I wish they would step up their tofu game. But they're super nice, hardworking people and their food is pretty good.

We ordered chicken noodle soup and general Tso's, and it was great! I don't get all these negative reviews. We'll be ordering from here again!

The food here was decent 15 years ago, now it is disgusting. The last time we ordered from here my son was violently ill the next day. My suggestion would be to stay away, take the ride to either Greenwood Lake, Ringwood or Bloomingdale for decent Chinese food

Made a mistake of eating here once. It was the worst Chinese food I've had hands down. While we were eating a giant roach ascended the adjacent wall. We paid the check and just left. Place should be shut down and should not serve the public.

Not the best Chinese food I've had but It's a step or two above the worst. I had takeout, and thought the staff was really friendly. They even gave us a beautiful wall calendar as a gift for the new year.

I ordered chilled sesame noodles, and was surprised to open a container Of what looks like cold spaghetti slathered in peanut butter and sesame seeds (I posted a picture)

I was surprised to see that they have a sushi bar in the restaurant, but I wasn't particularly
Tempted by the fish.

Place is decent, but I'm not sure I will return here

My boyfriend and I ordered 40$ worth of sushi last night and it was beyond disappointing! We couldn't finish our dinner and I ending up throwing up an hour after we ate. It was so soggy and zero flavors in all of our rolls and hand rolls. I'm beyond disappointed and sadly will not be ordering food from there again.

First, be sure you are calling the right place as there is another 'Mr Wonton' on Union Valley road and they are not equal (reads - don't bother with the other one). Over the years this has been hit or miss, but our choices for Chinese take-out are slim. This won't wow you in any way, but it seems to have marginally improved over the years. They tend to falter mostly with the veggies - sometimes they are very fresh, and other times they seem as if they begrudgingly slide out of their massive can and into the pan with muted color and flavor. I don't think you'll

Major downgrade due to No shrimp in shrimp egg rolls, Little to No pork in the pork lo mein, Little to No pork in the pork fried rice. It may be worth the trip out of town to NOT go here. Perhaps they have become too comfortable and feel they can give customers below standard food.

Nasty..what a waste of money. I ordered a combo plate and hardly got any rice and my egg roll was nasty! It was so greasy that it was wet to the touch. I called and complained and the person I spoke with said I could come back for another egg roll. Let's see how that one is....

Update to my review**** The second egg roll was just as greasy as the first. Nasty...I will never be back

I've been to this place two, maybe three times after new owners took over back about 6 or 7 years ago and I gotta say every time I go there I'm very disappointed with the bland and the weird way they cook some of the usual stuff like sesame chicken, lomein, general tsos, etc. the lomein is very tasteless and it's very light in colored too. Really weird looking. The sauce in the sesame chicken is a watery, light brown almost tan color. Last time I went there for take out was 2 weeks ago and it was late and my family was hungry so I made the mistake of stopping there before reaching

I had asked many residents for recommendations for good chinese, and most told me to avoid this place. I should have listened. We ordered dinner from here last night out of convenience, and did not enjoy it at all. The boneless ribs were 3 inch chunks and covered in a sweet red colored sauce which didnt taste good. The sesame chicken was sweet and the sauce was too watery which made the chicken soggy. The sauce was also yellow, which I've never seen before. Like the ribs, this didn't taste good either. My wife ordered vegetable lo mein which she was very disappointed with. We will definitely

What a day, what a day, what a day. I left the house without my wallet. About 2 o'clock in the afternoon my stomach is growling for some food. I'm two hours away from home so I turn my car into a couch and start digging for coin. I managed to find a dollar in change. Spotted Mr. Wonton and figured they would sell me some rice. I walk in and see a couple enjoying some food. Embarrased, I start to whisper to the guy behind the counter if I could get a dollar worth of rice. Yes, he says. He yells to a woman in Chinese and she brings me a small container of rice. I hand her my change and

Food's pretty tasty. The sushi isn't great, but I've had worse. The general tso is definitely my favorite thing on the menu.
