Services
W's Grill was established in 2014, by Charlie Wonsowicz. Charlie was previously employed by the New York Yankees from 1993-2013. During his time with the Yankees he was a part of five World Series Championships and was inducted into the Staten Island Hall of Fame. Throughout the restaurant you will find Yankees memorabilia personalized to him, by his former teammates.

W's is our family's go to spot for lunch and dinner when we are looking for good food and drinks! Their Chicken Milanese is to die for, with the amazing creamy balsamic dressing and super crispy and thin cutlet. The pizza is also extremely good! We usually go for the cauliflower pizza and add veggies, but we have tried almost all of the different kinds and all of them are good!! I have also gotten their pastas like the Penne Vodka and the Pesto Veggie Pasta dish and both were super flavorful and delicious ! This place is a hidden gem. You can tell that everything is made fresh and that it's not your typical bar food. This place has the best of both worlds. It's a great bar that you could hang out & watch a game in & a great restaurant where you could bring your entire family. The owner Charlie introduced himself and couldn't have been nicer. We later learned he was a former member of the NY Yankees Team (hence the Yankees Jerseys around the walls). The beef empanadas were excellent as were the pretzels. This was the second time I ate there. We had chicken fingers, pretzel sticks and quesadilla for appetizers. These were wonderful. All really well made and flavorful. I had the fish and chips for my meal and was disappointed. There didn't seem to be much fish under heavy batter. Fries were good though but I did not feel well after my meal. Also be aware that if you order iced tea or soft drinks, there are no free refills. So you'll be paying another $3 for more Coke.

Never really had a bad meal here…….. until this past Wednesday.. ordered the special “Lasagna Parm”. 100% disgusting. All it was was lasagna noodles ricotta cheese and mozzarella.. No Meat!. They through some sauce and a few cardboard tasting meatballs on the side. YUCK! We told the waitress and all she did was buy back a beer. $23 went in the garbage and had to order something else to eat. How about the owner admit it wasn’t good and comp it? Nope! We’ll be back but it will take some time to get over this one…..

Disappointing. I don't like reviewing restaurants during COVID as some restaurants aren't getting enough customers/attention leading to worse food quality. However this place was very busy so I don't think that applies to this restaurant. You can see from my pictures that the food looked (and tasted) much worse than the other pictures shown on Yelp.
The fries from both the disco fries and from my Buffalo chicken sandwich were black and had very little potato in it. Very soggy as well.
The wings were average honestly. Edible, and not really the reason I decided to give a low review

DE....LISH....OUS!! Everything we ordered was beyond my expectations! Everything was great...from the food to the outdoor seating accommodations, the waitress, the atmosphere, & just the feel of a family run business! I will definitely be bringing my family & friends there more often to have them try it out, too!

Let me start out by saying I really like this place. Food is always great and so are the drinks. The reason this is not 4 or 5 stars is due to the prices. A couple of times I was DD for my buddies and they charged me $3 a coke with no free refills. When I came with my kids same thing $3 a drink and no refills! The one time I spent more on drinks than my food bill. I also wish happy hour and specials were a bit cheaper. Still have never had a bad meal or drink there. Just stop robbing the people that DD or have kids.

I use to love love this place, but the fries are no longer crispy. We got nachos tonight. The tomato on it was nothing I would ever, ever serve a guest in my home. A pale not ripe or close to ripe tomato.
Unfortunately looking for another place to go to when I don't feel like cooking. The fries use to be soo good and I am not even a fries eater. Disappointed for the last time.

It is spacious inside and the employees were all very friendly. Some restaurants can feel stressful because the employees are all running around, but at W's everyone seemed happy and kind and not stressed. The food was great and they had a normal beer selection. It felt more like a restaurant than a bar, but there is a reasonable sports theme inside.

This was my first time coming to W's Grill. The staff was friendly however I thought the food was nothing to brag about. The sampler is unique considering I've never had empanadas included in a sampler at any other restaurant. However I wish the sampler included more wings and mozzarella sticks. The disco fries were soggy. The French onion soup was pretty good. Overall I thought the food was lacking flavor. I know they just hired a new chef and menu is being adjusted. I will give it another shot in a few months to watch a game.

I was in the are snow tubing and after sliding down the snow for a couple of hours it was time for lunch. I found this place on Yelp and since it had pretty good reviews decided to check it out.
We were a group of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids) and were seated right away in the middle of the restaurant.

Your All-American bar restaurant at the end of a row of random shops in a dark shopping center.
But, the food was good for the sampler. The beef empanadas were the highlight for me: warm, soft yet crunchy, and full of beef. The Old Bay wings were fried just right. And the potato skins were full of potato and toppings. Definitely a tasty treat for a tried-and-true sampler.

The place is nothing special: atmosphere is like any other modern sports bar, the service is mediocre, and you can get a better burger at McDonald's.
Want to know the most disgusting part by far?
THEY ARE SEXIST AND ONLY HIRE WOMEN. Men are not allowed to be servers there. I'm making a report with the labor department for investigation into the matter, so if they close abruptly, you know why.

This space has housed a few different restaurant over the years but this is by far the best. Besides coming for dinner, I sometimes go to the bar with friends to watch the Yankees (or the Olympics last week). The local crowd is always friendly and the beer is always cold.
The dining area is very comfortable and my wife and I have enjoyed dinner here many times. The food is good and service always attentive. We have had French onion soup, arugula and goat cheese salad, burgers, sliced steak etc. I've ordered pizza at the table with dinner and also at the bar. Always a good meal and food
