We have been patrons of this restaurant for nearly 30 years. The quality, value and atmosphere have decline over the entire time. Prices have doubled potions have diminished and there are no longer any redeeming qualities. The restrooms are disgusting, the treat their staff poorly. Out of principles alone, I would not recommend this place. However, I will withhold recommendation on quality, taste, value and cleanliness. Horrible.

GREAT FOOD!!! I've been coming here since 1999 (my college spot). I have traveled the world but it's the closest taste to my authentic Mexican family's RANCH STYLE cooking. How great was their food? I once witnessed Ramon Ayala and his touring crew, eating here. It's the closest you'll get to Mexico taste in the LA suburb area.

When the female owner managed this location, she was outstanding in management, customer service and overall small town hospitable excellence. Unfortunately, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the taste in their food, new management, and overall

My favorite place to go whenever I want chilequiles or huevos rancheros, breakfast is served with beans and papas and served in a timely manner . Communication is a bit hard because I don’t speak Spanish but my order is never wrong

La Poblana breakfast selections are traditional and delicious. I also wanted a tamal because they are unbelievably good here but I got too full on my fantastic breakfast. Don't miss the handmade corn tortillas and the Cafe de Ollá. I got my tamals to go because they are too good to miss.

I'll start off with Service: 5 stars for the amount of workers they have. Which is about 1 employee that handles from greeting, orders to the cash register. If they had at least 1 more waitress, it would be a little more efficient. Food: 4 stars. It's not "I'm driving 1 hour distance" for, but good non the less. Drinks: 4 stars. They have café de Olla which was delicious, wish it came with a stick of cinnamon with it. Price: 3 Stars At this point, if it has meat, expect higher prices. Space: 3 stars if the restaurant removed the middle part of the room where the register is at, it would widen

My very 1st time here. My cousin brought my father & I here on the recommendation that he brought his father & our Aunt Frances here. Knowing how exceeding picky & hard to please those two were made this an easy choice.
Let me say that food wise, the restaurant deserves 5 stars. The flavour, presentation, and temperature alone deserve repeat visits. I had the carnitas (excellent!), my cousin & father had the machaca (plates wiped clean), tortillas are brought in a warmer that is shared by the table (tortillas are handmade & delicious).
The servers, while desperately understaffed

WARNING***

If you're coming early morning when it opens up just a warning there's only one waitress.. we had to wait literally almost 15 to 20 minutes before I got up and asked if there was another waitress because we had a doctor's appointment and we're in a hurry..
She was busy talking laughing with another customer seem like she was bothered because I kindly asked her if she can take our order.. WILL NEVER come here again customer service is HORRIBLE

This place is literally down the street from my house, so I had high expectations for it. Hoping it could be my new "spot".
Unfortunately I left in disappointment.
Let me start by saying that the table salsa that comes with the chips was deliciously spicy.

But everything else fell apart. My friend and I were craving margaritas and that's how we ended up here. We ordered two margaritas with two added shots of tequila. Only to find out (after we took the shots) that the tequila was "tequila wine", not real tequila!
Do you think our server could've told us that when

This place is never equipped to handle a crowd. Came here at 8 o'clock Sunday morning it was one waitress. Do you want to stay in business you got to take care of your Clients. No one comes here to spend two hours waiting.

If I could rate this restaurant 0 stars, honestly I would. EXTREMELY terrible service. My husband and I waited for about TWO HOURS for our food, NEVER received it, ask the lady about our food, for her to FINALLY speak on that she lost our order, well like the receipt to it. So they never input our order to start making it. She caught an attitude when it was her fault. Poor service and the way things are done in this restaurant. Do better.

Not my style of Mexican food. Food is bland / shredded beef had too much oregano that cover the beef taste / Carnitas are boiled pork that looked like boiled chicken . Beans and rice so disappointing :( / sadness here. Some king of sweetness in the Chile Rellenos . Best to Avoid food here.

I have been eating at this restaurant for years. I recommend this restaurant if you are seeking to have Mexican breakfast.

I gave it 4 stars because it has trademarks that are worth ordering and eating.

I would say their flour and corn homemade tortillas are the #1 trademark of the restaurant. I enjoy ordering the cheese and flour tortillas as an appetizer or to eat along with my main meal. Their cafe de olla and champurado are trademarks as well.

I recommend visiting the restaurant only for breakfast or during lent season. Visit between breakfast hours. I have tried and order the following

By far my favorite Mexican Restaurant in the area. Sometimes I go just for chips and salsa and beer during the Dodger games. Most of the time I go for the Molcajete during lunch or their breakfast plates after a night out. No matter what I always get the salsa and tortillas which they all make in house, I respect that and it taste 100% better. I always bring out of town family here for a true representation of La Puente cuisine.

Showing appreciation to hard workers during these tough times is very important, I'm glad I chose La Poblana to cater an appreciation event for my warehouse workers recently.

Food arrived fresh, on time with generous portions allowing for plenty left over for my team to take home to their families.

So delicious!

I have been going to this restaurant for years. But lately, have not been very happy with the service and menu changes. There is now a high turnover..

I wish the owner would pay the waitress(s) and cooks more money..that way the good service and good quality can remain

Today we ordered lunch for 4 people, spent plenty of money. Was only given 4 little salsa containers. Asked for more and was told I have to pay cents extra per container... forget that I'm a regular customer of 20 years.

I'm going more often to Casa Jimenez on first street... the service is great, prices very affordable

I like places like this one, not fancy but ragged, kind of a hole in a wall type restaurant. They have an amazing customer service attitude, they tend to make you feel at home with their customer service. The food was delicious, the flavor of Mexican cooking is there, this what I can call authentic Mexican food in my opinion. I am sure I will go back and have more of their menu items.
