We came on Christmas and Kaylinn our host was extremely accommodating and sweet! The bar is a lovely place to come down and hang out! We also brought our pup and they had an amazing customized dog care package with bowls, dog bags and treats. The room was beautiful, cozy and clean. Can't wait to come back soon!

Thank you Groveland Hotel! We broke down just out of town, and had to find a place to stay unexpectedly. They were incredibly gracious - accommodating us in a lovely suite, with roll-away beds for the children. The hotel has a lot of character and charm, and the service couldn’t be better. Five stars from a very grateful family!

Our new favorite spot to stay when we visit Yosemite! The Groveland Hotel is so fun! It's an old, historic building but the rooms and decor are clean and modern. My husband and I brought our two young kids and we had a blast. We had a ground floor room which had a door to the patio and my daughter loved being able to run out and play and we could watch her from the room. They also had live music one of the nights we were there and we loved being able to walk out our room right to the music. My daughter danced her heart out! The food and drinks were also delicious. We ordered the meat platter

Best little getaway ever! My husband and two young kids planned a trip to a Yosemite. This was the perfect spot right out side of the park! We loved it! The rooms were so cute and the patio and bar were very clean and modern. They had live music and great food! They even gave my daughter snacks and a juice box when we arrived! Every single staff member was so friendly and kind. We will definitely be staying here again!

Excellent and very helpful staff! Both the receptionist and the bartender were great. Plenty of parking. Just that it is a little far off from Yosemite (around 1 hr drive). So if you're planning to visit Yosemite and be back, keep the distance in mind. Great pizza places near by.

First time staying here and it did not disappoint! My husband and I stayed here in between Yosemite adventures and were very pleased with the whole experience . We were graciously greeted by Kalynn (sorry if I'm spelling that wrong!), the girl at the front desk who was super sweet and helpful. The bed was comfy and the room was warm and cozy when we came in. A cool little piece of history for sure.

The service here is good. Like the option of a free drink as well. Food was not an option on our first night, or else we likely would have tried it. The rooms were noisy. Water pressure in shower was abysmal and the temp kept changing constantly the whole time. I felt like it was too warm at night in my room but don't have a way to control the temp in the room which is something you can do in most hotel rooms. I had an opening door instead of a window, and did not feel comfortable having that open while sleeping. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Room looked nice (Adobe Suite). Not sure why it is

Staff is very accommodating and kind. The room was small but had lots of historic charm. The location is absolutely perfect. We were in town for a memorial service and it was within walking distance to the park where the service was held. It is also close to the oldest saloon in the state of California, the iron door.

We have had bad experiences at "historic" hotels, but Groveland Inn was excellent! Comfortable beds, even the Murphy, very friendly staff, complimentary drink in the bar with lots of options, easy parking. Would also recommend the Iron Door Saloon next door for supper and breakfast.

Great wine and bourbon selection and you can pair it with tasty food or small plates. Live music even on a Sunday evening. There is a beautiful outdoor patio with a couple levels surrounded by lovely vegetation. Music was nice and you can still have conversation without a struggle if you are sitting on the lower half of the patio.

Cozy hotel, comfortable room. Pet friendly. Rooms are clean. They have a restaurant with open patio. Food is good with live music. I would have given 5 stars if they didn't had a very LOUD fridge in the room which disturbed our dog and us the whole night.

Driving through Groveland, CA on my way to the Owens Valley on 120 is a very windy, and slow moving road to Yosemite and right about the 3000 feet mark, you see in the Groveland Hotel in a very inviting painted in an earthy color orange and a welcoming sign visible from the road.
My husband and I stopped here to just take a break from the drive. We got a glass of water and looked at the bar. We were greeted by ANGELA, the front house manager who took us a great tour of the room options and was so welcoming and kind. I got some info for next time we drive through. Short out to Angela for being

Watch out for this hotel's cancellation policy. I thought it was pretty harsh given the cost of the rooms. They won't let you cancel unless it's 7 days prior to your stay. So, good luck if anything unforeseen happens in your life.

Wonderful old hotel in a classic stagecoach town. It's a really special spot with many throw back elements. Well kept. Quality linens and towels and in-room coffee service. Love the bar and back patio. The staff are super accommodating and helpful with extra provisions and advice. We enjoyed the variety of small local restaurants. It was the absolutely perfect spot for us to explore Yosemite. We enjoyed staying outside of the park and did not mind the drive. Bought provisions at the well stocked local grocery for early morning departures to Yosemite. Hiked early and retuned by late afternoon

This was my first stay in this hotel and it wont be the last.
The perfect place to stay for a Yosemite trip when you don't want to hang online for 6 months to score a reservation inside the park, and when you want a nice comfortable, uncrowded spot to chill after a day of hiking and exploring. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff pleasant and accommodating. Since we arrived Wednesday and left Sunday, we had the pleasure of LIVE MUSIC in the evening, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Wonderful local talent, different each night, enjoyed while sitting on the large patio, eating dinner

Very comfortable. Staff very nice. Walking distance to restaurants. Delicious coffee and tea in room. After a 5 hour drive to get there, I checked in and had to use the restroom. I left to eat and when I got back the toilet paper that I had already used was folded in a triangle. Staff said they did not do this. It must have been Lyle, the ghost that lives in the hotel! Nice patio with music in the evening. Pet friendly!

This is NOT the place to come if you want quiet. The walls are paper thin and all the floors creak. Any time someone walk around or flushes a toilet, you can hear it. People were constantly slamming doors and talking loudly in the hallways late at night and early in the morning.
I came with two kids under 10 and had to complain multiple times about loud guests music and live music in the Courtyard that was blaring so that the kids couldn't even get to sleep before 10pm on weeknights.
They welcomed us as a family but this is not a family friendly hotel.
There wasn't even a mini fridge

No Breakfast.

This used to be a great Bed and Breakfast hotel. They used to have a dining room where you could start your day with a nice hot meal and end your day with a lovely dinner.

They demolished that nice restaurant and replaced it with a bar/deli. (There's a wonderful historic bar right next door!)

So it's a cold morning, you gotta get up from one of the cold, minimalist rooms they 'redecorated' --mosy down to a cold 'deli' and buy coffee then look for a place where they actually sell food down the street.

I think they fixed the plumbing, which was

I wish I could give this place a better rating. The staff was really nice and I want to be supportive, but there were some real issues - especially given the price.

First the good:

The place is cute and clean. As you would expect, the grounds are decorated in a somewhat upscale old west/mining town motif, and they did a good job. You can tell the building is old, but they've done a good job of modernizing it overall.

The "Provisions" tap room looked like it would be awesome in non-pandemic times. I was surprised at the large selection of wines and local brews they had, and

Hotel is cute and filled with history. Centrally located in town with lots of cute stores and places nearby. Next door to Iron Door Saloon which offers great cocktails and food menu. The hotel was fine with bringing outside food and drinks on to the back patio-they had a nice selection of cheese platter to offer as well. They also had a good wine collection. Good social distancing and cleanliness. Back patio is lovely and the hotel had live music and a fully stocked whiskey bar. This made the visit very fun. Unfortunately our FRIDAY reservation at the Lodge in Yosemite was canceled, so we decide to stay outside the park the first night of our Yosemite trip.

We were pleasantly surprised with the Groveland Hotel, it has been remodeled recently, with a huge back patio and Bourbon Bar. The staff was super helpful and although their restaurant was still closed, they had a nice selection of craft beer, wine, and bourbon at the bar.

There was also live music out on the patio, and our rooms were nicely updated, would never notice that the hotel is circa 1850! Great spot if you want a boutique hotel experience

I have so many mixed feelings about Groveland Hotel. My fiancé and I went with two friends to check out wedding venues in Yosemite. Because it was a last minute trip, everything inside the park was booked, and Airbnb isn't really an option. Fortunately, Groveland Hotel had some rooms left!

It's a lovely property with plenty of parking, clean rooms, and cozy décor. My fiancé and I enjoyed our room, minus the loud music and chatter coming through the window (part of the charm) and it had all the basic comforts while we were at rest, like fast WiFi and powerful AC.

I'm going to
