Although it may be hard to imagine now that yoga has become so tightly woven into the fabric of American life, there was a time not so long ago when there was no full-time, dedicated Hatha Yoga studio in Pasadena.
Yoga House opened in 1997 to fill that void by creating such a place, a place that brought together the best teachers in a beautiful, well-equipped space so that everyone in our community could conveniently practice yoga and enjoy its benefits.Since that time, Yoga House has grown from the tiny storefront at the beginning to become one of the largest and most established yoga studios in the L.A. area.

Please allow yourself enough time to arrive at Yoga House before classes are scheduled to begin. For your own safety and in consideration of others, there is no admittance after the first ten minutes. Breathing, gentle stretching and deep relaxation characterize this practice designed to very gradually build flexibility, strength and focus.
Tune in to the creative pulsation that manifests clarity, growth, transformation, joy and freedom through an afternoon of asana and extended play. In this workshop, we will explore the nature of relaxation, how to achieve it in balance with the efforts of asana and find peace in action. Our beginner's introductory "immersion experience, " Yoga 101 is designed for students who have never done yoga.
The more yoga you do, the more positive changes you'll notice, but you can benefit from as little as one class a week. Some students practice every day. Ideally, we recommend you try for an average of two classes a week. Contrary to popular belief, being flexible isn't a prerequisite for practicing yoga!

Except for a handful of teachers, the new teachers are awful. Clueless about levels, they say this is your practice then if you make a modification because you have an injury they are unsupportive, very hypocritical. And boring!!!
Inspire me, be supportive, don't turn a level 1-2 class into level 1 Iyengar! As a teacher and someone who has been practicing yoga for 20 years it's offensive, too expensive, and I'm out of here!!

I cannot say enough about Jill's prenatal yoga class. Jill is a wonderful human being who goes out of her way to help you out and make you comfortable. Her class has helped me so much with my pregnancy aches and pains. Jill is very knowledgeable, patient and tried to help me in every possible way to ease my back pain and hip pain. Love her and would totally recommend her classes for anyone who is pregnant.

Yoga House has long been an outstanding environment for improving my practice and health. Since Yoga House reopened in person in the spring they've saved my life. There are great instructors, Ashley, Sabina and Suaan to name three. I learn something every class and it's helping to keep me grounded and healthy during the times we're living in.

I have practiced yoga for over two decades. In my travels, I have practiced at studios all over Southern California and all over the world. I have not found a better studio anywhere. The Yoga House space itself is lovely, feels sacred, and exudes quality and good vibes. The instructors are consistently awesome. The founder/owner goes out of her way to make sure the details are right. The studio is kept fastidiously clean. There are fresh flowers in the lobby. In pre-COVID times, there was complimentary tea. Now that we're getting back to in-studio practice, they diligently screen

Yoga House is a legendary spot. It's one of the most authentic yoga studios in Los Angeles with top-notch teachers and variety of styles, including Ashtanga and Iyengar.
I'm so happy the studio survived the pandemic and now offers in-studio classes in addition to the virtual ones.
Big shoutout to the manager Jamie for always being incredibly courteous and helpful.

I didn't have to look very far to find my yoga sanctuary.
Yoga House sits on the west side of Fair Oaks. Â Entrance faces south, parking on front, back, plus many spots further behind the back lot.
Hot tea served at reception. Â The personalities here are always so pleasant and calming. Spiritual sessions literally start at walk-in.
Two open, clean, and spacious studios, both equipped with plenty of blocks, pillows, straps, and blankets. There are two wall-size open cubbies to store personal belongings and shoes.
I've taken classes with Bruce, Kelley, and Jewel. Â Every instructor

Exceptional teachers! :) Fantastic understanding of alignment and form...wonderful communicators of physical cues. Each teacher has a unique approach and yet they cohesively create a "style" that is distinctly Yoga House. Proportional emphasis is placed upon mental/emotional/spiritual openness and presence as well as physical awareness. A big Thank You, to the awesome staff at Yoga House :)

I've been an avid yoga devotee for over 10 years and am incredibly loyal and follow my teachers around town as they move around. I have had the benefit of having had wonderful teachers over my yoga career and recently discovered the yoga House and feel like I've found a second home. For me going to studios while I'm traveling or just wanting to try something new hasn't felt just right. The energy, ambience and excellent instruction at the yoga house totally hits the mark. I would take every class that Susan Priver teaches if I didn't actually have to work during the week

Very clean and relaxing atmosphere. You really do get what you pay for. I signed up for the new student package that was an unlimited month of yoga classes for $30. If you forget your mat, you can pay $2 to rent one for the day which is reasonable. The yoga instructors are super cool and professional at the same time, they are personable and it's a great community to be a part of Yoga House Pasadena.

The girlfriend got a great Groupon deal for this place and we started our first class yesterday. It was my first yoga experience and I loved it, I don't remember who our instructor was but she was definitely a hippie. That's how I like my yoga instructors.
The whole vibe of the studio was very peaceful and I loved the poses where we just laid on our backs and listened to the wind and noises of the universe. I felt more relaxed when I left.

Recently tried this place with a Groupon. The location is about a 20-minute drive (but the suckiest part is the backup on Glenarm and Marengo during rush hour). So far I've tried the Gentle classes. I come to relax after a long day of sitting at the computer and Jill does a wonderful job in accomplishing that. Her voice alone is soothing, but mostly, she is able to keep a flow going between each move. I came out of the class with no more tension in my shoulders.
All students are drop-in, meaning there's no need to sign up for classes. You'll just need to sign in at the front desk

I have wanted to come here for a while now. So happy I finally got to come since it is a tad bit far. No regrets. I found a place where I can grow.
I have been on this yoga journey for just over a year.
The place has two studios and a cool yoga clothing and book store. I would come just to check out the variety of yoga clothing, mats, essential oils, accessories. The books are really good too! There are ones I am about to purchase with pictures asanas forcused on hip openers or arm/handstand with correct body form explanations.
Ok back to the classes. I just have come to one so far which is

My bf and I have been coming to Yoga House for a couple of months now...We were looking for a studio with more challenging classes after being at our last yoga studio for 6+ months and feeling like the classes were no longer challenging enough. A girlfriend of mine told me about Yoga House and we decided to give it a try. We did 1 week (7 days) free, and then $40 unlimited for our first month.
We mainly go to Level 1-2 and Level 2 Vinyasa classes. We came to Yoga House having practiced yoga for about 8 months and feel that we got a good foundation of the poses from our previous studio, so the

A girlfriend encouraged me to go with her to a prenatal yoga session for free, and boy I'm glad I did.
The staff and instructor were so nice and relaxed. They helped me stretch and explained the equipment I was using.
It was so relaxing! Thank you! I highly recommend the prenatal yoga.
PS- I gave birth 3 days later.

Bought an unlimited month's membership off of Groupon and have been enjoying all the classes I've been to so far. I've challenged myself to TRY to make it to 21 classes within the 30 days I have membership there. I'm about 1/2 way done! I've only been able to take the 7:45pm classes and have had a variety of instructors but they have all been great! Classes are smaller than what I am used to but I feel like that's where you can benefit the most because instructors are able to give you more attention when needed.
Push your body to its limit and feel the stretch!

I love it when yoga studios have specials for newcomers and this place has a great one: three free classes for free (valid for 10 days). My friend and I signed up for that special and I managed to come here three times within 8 days! If you fall in love with them, then you can sign up for 1 month unlimited for $40 (for new students only), which is cool. There are various options for saving money (buying a bigger series of classes, buying unlimited class memberships, etc) and they also offer discounts for students and seniors.
