When it comes to providing you with excellent customer service, assisting you with selecting that perfect pair of frames and custom lenses for your glasses or training you on contact lens insertion/removal, we are truly professional.
Annual eye health exams are an important part of great vision. We strive to make you and your family's visit a pleasant one. We have the latest technology in diagnostic instruments to assure your eye exam is designed especially for you. We diagnosis and treat a wide variety of ocular disease and injuries.
Born and raised in Arizona, Dr. Griego loves the desert lifestyle. So when she received her Doctor of Optometry Degree, from U.C. Berkeley in 1990, she returned to Arizona where she began private practice. She married, had one son and still finds time to volunteer in the community.
Dr. Griego has spent many of her professional years serving on The Central Arizona Optometric Society, The Arizona State Board of Optometry and The Arizona Optometric Association.Volunteering in her community is one of her many passions.

Our team of eyecare professionals understands that and will not only help you decide on the right lens material and design but we will also help you select the frame style, shape and material that best fits your prescription.
Contact Lens Exams are an additional component to your Comprehensive Eye Health Exam. Most times, when a patient comes into the office for their annual eye health exam, the doctor will check for any abnormalities externally and internally concerning the eye. They will also check for any refractive errors that may present.

Dr. Griego is great, but the issue is with front staff. One afternoon my daughter and I arrived to pick up her glasses that we ordered and paid for 2 weeks prior. As we were walking up, the woman working behind the desk was walking out the door and greeted us with, “I just clocked out because it’s lunchtime and we are closed from 12-1. It’s advertised.” (Btw it’s not advertised when you look them up on google search - it showed open, until…) We arrived at 11:58, and reasonably could have been given her glasses and left within the amount of time she chose to justify the poor customer

A few years ago, this doctor told me I had an eye infection for about two visits and prescribed antibiotics. After a few weeks, my eyes were so sensitive, and she couldn't figure it out, she sent me to a specialist. It turns out that I had a detached retina. She waited so long to admittadmit that she couldn't help me that I had to have a very invasive surgery. Today, I only have one good eye. They caught the other side early enough and lasered it. DO NOT GO HERE. I hope and pray that this does not happen to anyone else.

I have been needing a nice pair of sunglasses for a while now. I went into Dr. Griego's and found a pair I absolutely loved! The staff was patient, personable, and kind while I took my time to find sunglasses that fit my budget and style. I am willing to take a long drive from my neighborhood to have attentive and fast service such as here.

See below for new note, changed from 4 stars to 2 Jan-2020. In Dec. 2019 I went for an eye check up and needed frames too. They had a nice selection of frames and had them arranged easily to know which were covered by my insurance. I also had a blood vessel burst a day prior and Dr Griego looked at my eye and confirmed that it wasn't infected, just a bursted blood vessel. She also knew that I had allergies without me telling her that I had them & was irritated from pet dander. I just picked up my new glasses & I am pleased with the outcome! Thanks Dr Griego

I have been going to Griego Eye Care for over 5 years and they are always consistent in their friendliness and service! You can tell Dr Griego carefully picked her staff due to their amazing customer service and excellence for attention to detail - Cindy, Liz, and Chris are my favorite part of going to get my eyes checked. I love picking out my glasses with them and hearing the benefits my insurance has to offer. They are always the first to let me know about rebates or warranties they are so fairly priced. I love it here and will continue to go here for years to come!

I took both of my daughters (3 and 12) to see Dr. Griego for their yearly eye exam and it was a fantastic experience. Preschoolers can be a handful at the doctor. Cindi was very patient and nurturing when working with my little one. Dr. Griego was very thorough with the exams and you could tell she truly cared about providing my girls their best vision. Chris did a great job helping my fashion conscious preteen select a pair of glasses she's excited to wear (I wasn't too excited when she told me a boy in her class said "Your glasses make you look cute" lol). The staff here are wonderful. My 3 year old went in for an eye exam. The doctor couldn't get her to verbalize her needs during the exam, but she kept trying new things till she could get an accurate reading. My daughter needed a prescription in the end. They were very helpful. The building is difficult to find the first time. Its very easy to miss. Grey building tucked back behind another building.

Fantastic customer service and care! Dr. Griego is very personable and friendly. She is more than willing to explain what is going on with your vision and also able to help with suggestions for care. The office is clean and they have a good selection of glasses and sun glasses. They also have a once a Saturday hours which is perfect for students and professionals that work during the week. Call ahead for info.

I have been seeing Dr Griego for about 10 years now and love her! She's wonderful and takes great care of my eyes. She's honest and up-front, always happy and friendly, and very knowledgeable. She even does newborn screenings and is wonderful with our special needs son - who loves his glasses and her office!
The front office staff is usually pleasant however they seem to have a high turn over rate with only Cindy being around as long as I have been going there. I feel like every year when I go in there is someone new training who is not very knowledgeable about the office processes

Dr Griego is an exceptional doctor. I cant recommend her front office help. My family has been seeing her for about 10 years. We have followed her to her new location. Dont make appointments around their lunch time. They lock the door and make you wait in the heat until they have had their break. I didn't realize that is what happed last year (we made the appointement in July also). Thankfully my truck has ac. This year we got there early again as it is good practice not to waste other peoples time - and the UPS man was making the delivery. The front desk girl stated we got in before
