Owner Da Nicola Scarella is a self taught chef who has been serving the 5 towns community since he was 14 years old. Over the years he has honed his skills, and become a master of his craft. Not very easy to find, however, once you do *chefs kiss* such amazing food! Italian done right. Parking is municipal and you have to walk less than a block. It's dark inside and packed with people on a Wednesday night. We started with the burrata and stuffed clams. Delicious. Burrata and arugula were fresh and the drizzle of balsamic and evoo really topped it off. The clams were small but packed with flavor! My friend told me about a special she once had and raves about it. It's not on the menu, neither was it on the specials board, however, they accommodated us and made the halibut on

This is a favorite of the Town of Hewlett and has been here for a long time. Upon entering we found the Bar to be too crowed to sit at, so we were seated right on time for our reservation . Our server was friendly, and took our order without delay and we were served timely, and properly. Not rushed... We both decided to have the stuffed Veal was Delicious and the way to go, it was really incredible. We ended with shearing the Tartuffo that was a perfect ending, and may I add the the prices werr right, and not overly expensive.

Worst restaurant I ever been. they ruined my new year dinner.All started when the waiter took our food order and i did not see him till I get up after one hour and fifteen minutes to make a complaint to the hostess about the service. we know was a busy time but we see people get there after us and get their food first. We were so upset that couldn't eat. We ask the waiter to pack our food to eat at home. The waiter never apologized otherwise he was upset because we complained. The worst experience ever!!

On Sunday a good friend ( David ) and I decided to take a drive and visit a friend ( Eddie ) in Long Island. After getting there we got a fire going and decided to call and order some food. ( Eddie ) recommended Da Nicola. We were interested in sea food so we ordered a few things including. Shrimps, Salmon, vegetables and Pasta ( whole wheat Penne Primavera ). We had it delivered and was told it would take up to about a hour. We got it in about 45/50 minutes. It’s was a lot of food for four persons, which was unexpectedly a good thing. We all agreed that this was one of the most tasty 😋 dinner

THIS CHEF CAN COOK!! The service of this restaurant is amazing. They will bend over backwards to make there customers happy.
Last night we had a party of 4 people. They were so kind that they even had one of their staff deliver food 2 towns away to help us out because we wanted to come in and eat after 10pm on a Sunday. And it was definitely enough food to feed an army. They delivered more dishes than we actually ordered. Between the fish and the pasta , we have enough food for the entire next day. The chefs generous portions and attention to detail truly gave all of my friends, one who was visiting

First time visit. I was impressed with the service. We wanted outside seating and they placed a table outside just for us. Servers were good and generally attentive. The chicken Calabrese was a generous portion and quite delicious. Took the rest home and enjoyed the second serving there too. Prices are generally decent.

My friend and I wanted some Italian food, and found this spot nearby. We were seated almost immediately when we arrived, which was great because we didn't make any reservations. I ordered the Handmade Fusilli with Braised Short Rib and was pleasantly surprised by meal. It was my first time ever trying fusilli and it was really really good. I love that it was handmade because you taste the quality of it being authentic/homemade like which I reallyy enjoyed. The short rib was a bit on the dry side, I expected it to be a lot more tender but it was still good though. I also wish the broth was

I have to admit, Da Nicola Italian Cuisine was truly impressive. It's comfy, clean and attractive. The menu is really terrific, many really good choices, I had to go with Handmade Fusilli with Braised Short Rib, and it was amazing. The team was very helpful and service is fantastic. Can't wait to come back again.

Just had my baby shower here and I have to say WOW!!! So easy to work with, prices were great, waitstaff was amazing, they were so accommodating for every one of our needs and the FOOD!! OMG the food, was out of this world! Thank you Nick, Albert & all of the Da Nicola staff for making our day beyond special, we truly appreciate everything and will remember this day forever!

The wait was horrific and they certainly had more people inside h to en they should have, so shame on them for that.
BUT the food is so outrageously delicious that it was worth it!
6 of us started with a small pizza, baked clams, arugula salad, another type salad and the special capellini cakes. Everything was delicious and so filling. My favorite was the capellini cake with the a la vodka sauce on the side.
We had the pork chop with roasted peppers- outrageous! Halibut - outstanding! 3 had rib eye steaks which were great! Orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe- great!

I wish that I could rate Da Nicola's food and service as two separate entities, but, since I can't, that is the reasoning behind the three stars. The service was truly awful-one star at best. Thankfully, the food was delicious or this would have been a total fail in my book!
Upon arriving, with three other friends for a birthday dinner, and I told the guy that I had a reservation for 5 people at 7. He told me ok and that he would be right back and then disappeared for ten mins. It is VERY evident that this place overbooks reservations because at all times of the night, we always saw multiple

Delicious!!!!! My family and I had such an amazing experience here. I'm not a big pasta person but everything they ordered was fantastic. We got chicken Parmesan, fettuccine in creamy sauce, and grilled vegetables which were supreme. The vegetables were so fresh so tasty and not greasy at all!

Wow. I cannot tell you how many hours I spent here when it was Rafters. The spot has been numerous offerings over the years nothing which stood out. I came in for a visit from Florida and my friend suggested this restaurant. Our server was super nice and he appreciated my sarcastic humor. We ordered a bottle of wine and a baked clams oregenata. The clams were good sized, not like the tiny ones you get at other Italian joints . They had a great flavor and were perfectly cooked. We used the bread to soak up the extra sauce. Yummy!!!
