I have been a team member with Dr. Esterkyn since 1995 and have been in the orthodontic field since 1979. The best part of my role on this team is watching our patient's start out nervous and unsure of what to expect to seeing the transformation in not only their smiles but their confidence as well.
When I am not helping create gorgeous smiles I enjoy crafting, crocheting and spending time with my family. My dental career started 25 years ago but I have been on Dr. Esterkyn's team since 1999. Dr. Esterkyn is passionate about creating beautiful healthy smiles that his patients can be proud of for their entire lives. He loves to see the confidence, self-esteem, and pure joy on a patient's face when they see their new smile for the first time. In that moment, he knows that he's made a positive difference in their life.
Dr. Brent Sexton and Dr. John Esterkyn will conduct a thorough clinical orthodontic examination and explain all aspects of treatment himself. If orthodontic treatment is indicated at this time, an appointment for Diagnostic Records is scheduled. If time allows, these diagnostic records can be taken at the initial visit.
The cost of your orthodontic treatment may vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. Dr. Brent Sexton, Dr. John I. Esterkyn, and their staff will discuss with you the cost of your treatment, and each of your available payment plan options so that you are able to make the best choice for you and your smile.
As a courtesy to you and your family dentist, we will always discuss the feasibility of braces or tooth straightening without charging a fee for the initial consultation. As a rule of thumb, we like to evaluate young patients after the 6-year molars erupt and the front permanent teeth just start to appear.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that most children should have an orthodontic screening by age 7. This allows Dr. Brent Sexton and Dr. John Esterkyn to determine if orthodontic treatment will be required and the best time for the patient to be treated. Many of the dentists in our community have been trained to identify orthodontic problems early, and may refer you to our office earlier than age 7.

There has been a change in the front desk and I can tell you that the friendly service that used to be there is gone. It has been replaced with rudeness, impatience, and sarcasm.
Ever since it switched from Dr Esterkyn to Delta Smiles, the changes have been evident and not in a good way. Look at the most recent reviews....2 years. Says a lot. It's really too bad, I used to be so pleased with them. I'm sorry to say that my next kid needing ortho care will not be getting it here.

We absolutely love Delta Smiles! My 9 year old daughter needed an expander and braces. She was so nervous, but Dr. E and staff made her feel so comfortable. Such a great atmosphere in both Brentwood and Antioch locations. Rosie is so sweet and fun, my daughter looks forward to her next appointments! What a great experience!!! I highly recommend!

Thank you Delta Smiles for the awesome experience! Tristan Mc loves his new braces! We highly recommend going here. The staff was beyond helpful and caring. They were so thoughtful to give our son a a care package with soft foods and other essential items for his first couple days while he gets used to his braces. We are so glad we picked this place.

I highly recommend coming to see Dr. Esterkyn. I had no hopes for my teeth since I thought I had to get braces in my teenage years. Boy was I wrong my teeth where so jacked up. i use to be embarrassed to smile lol. I am extremely happy to share the photo of when I first started my treatment until today when they took off my braces. The staff is very nice always made me feel welcome. Dr Esterkyn is Awesome!

I am so very impressed with Dr. Esterkyn and his staff. They were recommended to me by many people in a FB group I am a part of. The office is very clean, updated and professional. Dr. Esterkyn is kind and thorough. Christy honestly goes above and beyond in terms of communication, and the whole staff is very friendly. Office and all there staff is the best , I have never had any issues with them or my braces . They all seem to love there job. Which too me is very important cause you know they love what they do. I have been coming her for almost 2 years. April and Terri are always smiling and very friendly when I come in. And Michelle and Donna, Debbie are always so sweet when there working on me. I Love it here since I'm in the medical field my self it makes such a big difference on how your treated. Thank you Dr . Esterkyn and Too all your staff for always being so wonderful to me every time

I am 40 years old and finally decided to get braces for the first time. The moment i walked in i felt very welcomed. I was introduced to a person who explained to me all of my options with final prices and information on each detail. She was not pushy at all and I liked that.
During my first appt I was introduced to Donna, who was very friendly and always cheered me up since i was very nervous. Dr Esterkyn did his magic and I was out before i expected it. I totally recommend Dr Esterkyn, his friendly staff makes you feel welcomed everytime you call or visit.

My daughter is getting her orthodontic treatment here and we are so happy that we found this place. All of the staff is very helpful and nice from front desk, to dental assistants to the Doctor himself. I've been recommending his clinic to friends and family and will be my go to place for my younger daughter when the time comes for her to get braces.

Donna S., in Dr. Esterkyn's office did an amazing job in putting on my son's braces. She made sure he was completely comfortable with it. She is very friendly and very patient person. She explained everything to my son very carefully and made sure that he completely understood whatever was going to happen. The employees are all very nice and sociable. I really loved the business end of this orthodontics service. I would suggest them for most orthodontic cases. However, I had to have my braced re-done three times because they were taken off prematurely and my teeth were not correctly aligned. This was a hassle, but I realized this is not the norm, therefore I am not docking a lot of points/stars.
The facility is very clean, very new, very up to date, very nice. I love their new building - it is quite appealing. I can tell that Dr. E really cares about his patients; I really do like him.

The absolute all around best orthodontics. Dr. Esterkyn and his team members take pride and lots of care to attend to our teeth, but not just about teeth, but to get to know us as patients as well. I got my braces off about a few months ago, and I already miss them, but that's because going there to see everyone really made my day. I would absolutely recommend family, friends and fellow strangers in need of braces to go to Dr. Esterkyn. Overall they are the best and I have no regrets whatsoever. I love my smile, and I know who to thank for.

This review is only for a free orthodontic consultation I had with Dr Esterkyn.
The facility is new, state-of-the-art and rather beautiful. Almost over the top compared to what I expect from a dental office. But I'm not complaining mind you. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet.
I don't think I waited more than 5 minutes before I was taken to a room. A woman proceeded to take digital pictures of my face, jaw and mouth from various angles. The photos, enlarged, were then projected on the wall. Kind of painful to see yourself so unflatteringly but very impressive technologically.

One of my dd had orthodontic work done and has beautiful teeth now thanks to Dr. Esterkyn. He has now moved to a beautiful office -the design is gorgeous and tranquil in sea blue colors(I want his interior decorator!) and beautiful branch like light fixtures. It is a calming place considering you are there to get braces which is not the most comfortable thing! :O Oh for the kids,they will appreciate the state of the art video games-pretty cool!
