We are the first, full-time periodontal practice located in McKinney, Texas devoted to restoring your dental health using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures. Dr. Philofsky & Dr. Alfred believe that periodontal health is the foundation to overall dental health and new patient's are always welcome.
Dr. Philofsky grew up in many places from the east coast to the west coast but has called Texas his home for the past 25 years! Once he graduated from Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs he moved to Texas and earned his degree in Biology from Baylor University. Baylor is a special place to him for many reasons, including where he met his future wife, Cindy, during welcome week his freshman year.
I can't tell you how happy I am with the experience I had with Dr. Philofsky and his office assistant. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and to make sure I was in no pain. Below are just some of the many procedures and services we regularly provide to our patients - with a gentle touch, and stunning results.
Dental insurance is intended to cover some, but not all of the cost of your dental care. Most plans include a co-payment, and deductible which must be paid by the patient at the time of service. Insurance coverage is not, and never has been, a guideline for quality care. We expect your co-payment in full at the time of service, and we will be happy to file your insurance claims for you.

Dr. Alfred is a fantastic periodontist. I have used him twice and both times were positive experiences. He is competent, compassionate, and responsive to follow-up needs. His staff is friendly, kind, and went above and beyond to handle my dental insurance claims. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a great periodontist!

I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Alfred and his staff at Mckinney Periodontics. During Covid they did the best they could do to treat patients during a very difficult time. I'm grateful for their courage and perseverance during this time. Appointments are easy to make in a timely fashion, the staff is always pleasant. Aftercare has been wonderful. I"ve never known a dentist to send soup and dessert with you after surgery.

From the time you walk in, until you walk out you feel like you are in the best of attention and care. My appointments have both been kept on time. The team work while in the chair was just amazing. The special tap-tap-tap a-la Nikki while Dr P is injecting Novocain was just one example. I genuinely felt that I was in the best of hands here. I have a few more procedures to complete. I’ll bet there will be even more solid 5 star reviews to come.

The care and professionalism I received was exceptional! The staff was knowledgeable, professional, caring and friendly. They made me feel comfortable and involved me in EVERY step of my treatment by providing me with information and choices. My dentist was awesome and had an awesome chair-side manner.

The staff was extremely knowledgeable and made absolutely certain I had no discomfort when X-rays of my mouth were being taken.
After reviewing my X-rays the doctor very patiently explained the diagnosis and the recommended procedure to resolve it. As I tend to be a bit nervous about any dental work, Dr Philofsky made sure I understood my choices as to light sedation or just numbing. Thanks to his questions to me about my fears , I was able to make a knowledgeable decision that I am very comfortable with.
