Dr. Brian Hartman is a native of Anchorage and has been practicing since 2001. Dr. Hartman's practice philosophy is to be progressive and patient oriented. He enjoys providing quality orthodontic service to his patients and developing relationships with them and their families.
Dr. Hartman earned his bachelor's degree in science at the University of Colorado (Boulder) and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the Oregon Health & Science University (Portland), where he also completed his orthodontic residency.

At the first visit, you will meet with Dr. Hartman and our treatment coordinator. At this time we will proceed with an oral examination and discuss Dr. Hartman's findings with you. At the second visit to the orthodontist, diagnostic records are made to determine the best course of treatment. These include complete diagnostic records, plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and X-rays.
Orthodontics (also referred to as dentofacial orthopedics) is a specialized form of dentistry that focuses on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial abnormalities. An orthodontist is a dental specialist who has received two to three years of additional training and experience.
I'm pleased to have had my life changed by Dr. Hartman. Before I met Dr. Hartman, I experienced severe headaches and had to have both braces and jaw surgery. My smile is better than ever. I can't think him and his wonderful staff enough. I will continue to recommend him to everyone who asks about my new smile.
We have payment plans to suit different budgets, depending on credit or approval of credit. We also accept assignment from most insurance plans and file the necessary papers to the insurance company. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable. To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months.

Have had all three of my children in braces. Staff are extremely professional, courteous and know how to make the kids feel at ease. The Front desk staff are amazing too. The office will set you up with affordable payment plans as well. You owe it to your kids to set them up for life with a great smile and have confidence in their futures - Smiles go a long way! The added bonus.... Dr. Hartman is super handsome which helps you to overlook the expense of having to put so many kids to put through his office. Its a monthly treat to go on visits.

The whole experience with my son's braces has been nothing less than amazing. From the early consultations to having the braces on for two years and now getting them removed today. Dr. Hartman and the ENTIRE staff are caring, considerate and took exceptional care of us during the whole process. I highly recommend these wonderful people.

Dr Hartman and his staff are fantastic! The front staff is amazing and so easy to work with and very accommodating, the technicians are amazing and always smiling and very caring! As always Dr Hartman is caring and tells you exactly what you need and doesn't try and sell you stuff you don't need!! I will ALWAYS 100% recommend him for any dental work!

I would highly recommend Hartman Orthodontics. All the employees are so friendly and knowledgeable. We are always taken right on time too. Dr. Hartman has the perfect mix of waiting to see what your own teeth do and doing something if it needs to be done. I enjoy the office so much I always go in to my kids appointment. Of course I'm not the one getting braces. That said my children both like the office and feel very comfortable with everyone.
