Jimmie Elliott, owner of Elliott's Fine Jewelry, opened the original store in 1948 on Dauphin Street.
He had been discharged, wounded, from the U.S. Army and was able to learn the jewelry making and watch repair trade as part of the recuperation therapy provided by the government. Little did Elliott know that the therapy he received would result in a successful lifetime career. At first he worked repairing watches for other stores and got his start in the business in that way.

Elliott's Fine Jewelry is eager to assist you every step of the way. We are at your service from start to finish. It is our pleasure to help you decide on a wedding set or your own custom design. Choose from a large selection of loose diamonds, solitaires, diamond bands, or semi-mountings. Diamond value depends on the following: cut, clarity, carat, the current popularity of the stones, and market demand vs. availability.
Elliott's Fine Jewelry provides a wide variety of jewelry repair. Some of our repair services include: cleaning, polishing, rhodium plating, ring sizing, stone matching, necklace/bracelet repair, pearl/bead restringing, etc. Talmadge McLean (T.J.), the Store Manager and jeweler, has 40 years experience including jewelry repair and special designs.
Removing your jewelry before showering and applying lotion is a must. Soap and lotion deposit a film that clouds the stones and diminishes the sparkle of your jewelry. Also make sure to remove your jewelry before doing any type of gardening, house work, and before applying makeup or other beauty products.

Got a new Seiko watch for Christmas and it was a little too big. I had to get a few links taken out of the bracelet so I took it to Elliott's where I see a big Seiko sign on the corner of the building every day. The people were super nice and friendly, the atmosphere was family worthy, and the service was ultra fast and at an affordable price. My only regret was not getting the watch from them because of what great people they seem to be.
