Way Of Orient Martial Arts
This class is designed for people that are new to Krav Maga. In this class, we focus on the basics of combatives, self-defense, mindset and overall aggression. This class is designed to push students both mentally and physically. While our primary objective is always self-defense, better physical fitness and weight loss are secondary benefits.

Contact us today for a FREE CLASS! Way of Orient is a Ventura martial arts studio specializing in teaching the traditional Korean martial arts Taekwondo and Hapkido. Americans are often familiar with martial arts in a broad sense, or the Japanese style Karate. Taekwondo, a striking method, and Hapkido, a hybrid technique, are valuable styles to choose if you're seeking a resource for martial arts training in Ventura County.
Services
Students and enthusiasts of Krav Maga have many reasons for their interest in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self-control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.
This program focuses on improving your child's listening and motor skills. These skills will help them enter society with more confidence and enthusiasm. There are eight major skills our instructors focus on when training children ages three and up, those skills are: Focus, Control, Balance, Teamwork, Memory, Discipline, Coordination and Fitness.
We offer martial arts programs for both juniors and adults. Our karate programs are goal intended and focus on both the mental and physical side of martial arts. If you are a parent you have found the right tool to help mold your child into a responsible adult through positive reinforcement. Our goal is to help arm your child with self-confidence and discipline to help them deal with peer pressure and stress.
Krav Fit combines fitness and Krav Maga strikes to help tone and trim your physique. It is a high intensity fun class that consists of cardio and resistance training. You will burn calories while increasing confidence. This fitness class incorporates exercises you would receive from a Krav Maga class.
If you are looking for something special for your event we also have a Ninja Warrior bounce house with inflatable bopping ninjas inside. We also offer learning how to break a karate board! If you are in need of a bounce house or other fun activities for your event please feel free to contact us and let us know.

I have been training here since November of 2019, and I can say that you would be hard pressed to find a better training environment than Way of Orient. All of the students and instructors are friendly, easy going, and supportive, and Master Adelman takes a practical, no-nonsense approach to teaching martial arts. If you wish to learn martial arts, be it for sport, self defense, personal growth, or just a good workout, I cannot recommend enough that you sign up for classes at Way of Orient.

Ventura Krav’s Master Rob is an excellent instructor and he brings a high level of excitement and energy to his classes. No only is he highly experienced (dude can kick clear over your head, no joke), you can tell he genuinely cares about his students confidence, safety, and well being.

This martial arts studio is amazing... from the first day you can tell how much Master Alderman and his instructors really care about their students and helping them to succeed... I brought my daughter here from another studio and the difference is astounding she receives personal one-on-one instruction every instructor knows her name and is actually interested in watching her succeed in martial arts and in life... my child is the most precious and important thing in my life I'm proud to have her part of this organization I honestly cannot speak highly enough how about the professionalism caring

Mr. A is the most humble, hard working martial arts example your child could encounter. My son had the opportunity to work with him while on a team for his test. Mr. A treated everyone with kindness and was a great model of respect. It is a great opportunity to have a chance to work with him or his staff.

Master Adelman and Mr Chuck are teachers who want you to succeed, who will push you to work hard and improve yourself ...and have loads of fun doing it! As teachers they are approachable for concerns, point out mistakes without sugarcoating but with compassion in spirit of improvement, and generously affirm improvement and hard work. Absolute role models who love what they do.
This school is my happy place, because the students all support and encourage each other. I leave my worries at the door and just put out to improve and have fun.
We train for every purpose of martial arts: defense, discipline

I've been going here for a year and a half and dont think I could find more dedicated and passionate instructors than Master Adelman, and Mr. Chuck. It is evident in every class that they care about the students and the martial arts. This studio does an excellent job of fostering discipline, confidence, accountability, respect, and a desire for success, and does an excellent job with special needs students. Success is celebrated, failure is overcome, and when you make a mistake you are taught how to correct it. I hope I never have to move out of town because I dont think a better studio exists

My grandson attended Way of Orient from time he was 3 years old. From the beginning this studio was different. I had experienced martial arts studios with my three son's and had never been impressed, all had seemed like nothing more than belt mills, with the boys receiving new belts based on family economic factors vs actual ability (I firmly believe in ability based advancement) Way of Orient is ability based, every belt received is well and truly earned, and this is refreshing. Merit based achievements prepare you for the real world. My grandsons experience was outstanding and the relationships

Absolutely thrilled! I wanted my son to enjoy martial arts classes as well as benefit from the self-control it teaches. Way of the Orient is the third place we have tried. My son for the first time is just excited each day to go. He has excelled in every way since joining this dojo over the last few months. Robert Adelman is so great with my son. He is patient, smart, entertaining and masterful. It's made all the difference to my son attending here and I am so proud of all of the advancement he is making in both mind and body that I wanted to take the time to write a review and say "There is a
