You're going to have a nice meal here. It isn't going to be the best meal of your life, but it's going to be a satisfying meal in a great location. Perfect place for a first date when they have a live band playing, or for a small group gathering. I try something different every time I go, but nothing is out of this world fantastic but I still find myself going back because the service is great, the atmosphere is awesome, and the price is right.

SO WORTH IT! My best friend and I dined here for her birthday dinner and we enjoyed our experience. I've heard good things about Laughing Owl and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Sweet Chili crispy chicken with fried rice and it also came with broccoli. I was very satisfied with it's taste and it was plentiful. For our appetizer we ordered Oysters Rockefeller and enjoyed it's bed of Cucumber salad. We also had Lemon Drop martinis. Everything was amazing. I will definitely be back.

The food was good but the service left a lot to be desired. I called ahead and made a reservation, when we arrived we were told we didn’t have a reservation and the staff was very unfriendly about it. They eventually seated us begrudgingly and we got served our drinks. Then we waited almost an hour before the server returned to get us another round of drinks and we were still waiting for our food. The food taste and quality is the only redeeming factor.

A classic example of how to run a restaurant. The servers are punctual and professional. The Food was delicious and nutritious. I got a lemon chicken and it was packed with flavor and the broccoli was perfectly cooked. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu.
I had to stop myself from finishing the meal before I took the picture.

For the first time we had a pretty blah experience at the Laughing Owl. We arrived about 7:45pm and they had just finished a dinner rush. We saw our waitress 3 times, once to take our order, once to bring the food and once to deliver the check. We had empty glasses the majority of the meal. The service was closer to a 2 star tonight. She wasn't busy enough to have neglected tables the way she did. The food which is usually very good was very heavy on the sauce as well. Hopefully this was a one time deal. If this had been our first experience, it would probably would have been our last. Perhaps

Usually it's pretty good at the Laughing Owl (we've been several times), but this evening they were not on their game. After dinner we ordered coffee and creme brûlée. Waitress said "we don't have decaf" (really?). Regular coffee was cold and the dessert was cold on bottom, warm at the edges only. When asked about the coffee, she returned with some instant. Ugh.
We won't give up on them, but it wasn't their best.

Absolutely the worst evening that I've had in years. I will not go back.
First, we waited more than 20 minutes for a waitress to come to our table after we were seated. The music was so loud, I could not have a conversation with others at my table. I could not hear the waitress and she could not hear me because the music was so loud. I had to point to the menu to order. They could not get a simple vodka martini correct. After the brought my food, I still did not have a fork and had to hunt someone down to get one. In order to hear me, the waitress had to get in my face -- less than

This an excellent oriental restaurant.
The Kung Pao Chicken & Roasted Peanuts was amazing. Such a wide variety of extremely flavorful foods. The complex flavors was great! We had a group of 6 people so we ordered 6 entrees and put them in the center of the table and then we all were able to try each of them. The customer service was good and the atmosphere was good. I look forward to going again.

This is a great place for lunch! We had the hot and sour soup which is homemade and delicious. The fried cheese was unique since it was not the traditional mozzarella but Munster cheese. The crab ragoons we perfectly made. The stir fry was extremely fresh and fantastic. The wait staff was exceptional and made sure that our meal was great. We also had our dog with us and they made sure to bring him a bowl of water. We will be back!

Unique spot in downtown Goldsboro. Wife and I care in on New Year's Eve, right as they opened (4:30pm) and were seated immediately. Our table was near the front door, so it wasn't the best spot for us to gauge the atmosphere, but the inside reminded me of New Orleans, bright colors and busy walls and decor (and plenty of ceramic owls)
I feel like we should bring one in to stake our ground. Maybe I'll ask the manager next time. lol
Very large menu, with EVERYTHING... burgers to entrees to Asian cuisine. The wife and I both had Asian style and both were satisfied, yet not blown away

I came in on a week day evening for dinner with 4 colleagues I was traveling with, We were promptly seated and attended to. Everyone ordered a different dish but we shared streamed and salted edamame as an appetizer. I wish I took some photos! I had green curry with tofu, it was delicious and SPICY! The dish was $14 and worth it as it was filled with fresh green beans, carrots and onions. I couldn't believe how spicy it was, perfect for me but maybe too much for someone else.
Their menu is quite large and features foods from many cultures.
I noticed many veggie/ vegan options which is

Our first visit after being at the Arts Council of Wayne County First Friday event. We could just walk down the beautifully lit downtown all decked out for the Christmas holiday.
We were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant is in an old store complete with tin ceiling and what remains of an elevator shaft. Lots of owls decorate the place. Live music playing in the bar area on this Friday night.
Our waitress was super helpful and attentive. We had the lettuce wraps--yes a must have appetizer. I had the salmon salad and hubby has the Singapore Noodle which had a kick.
