This is an incredible practice conveniently located in the middle of Uptown. Everyone who we have encountered at the office, including in our worst eye care emergencies, has been simply amazing - professional and helpful - often going above and beyond to assist. We have been going to Dr. Moore and Associates for almost 20 years, and we will never go anywhere else.

I'm very disappointed and do not recommend this office. In late 2020 (around Nov) the dr had me try a new contact prescription in each eye. After trying them at home from samples I was given, I ordered the prescription provided even though they felt a little off, thinking my eyes would need to adjust; I was in desperate need of more contacts. I received the order of contacts; however, after wearing the samples longer, I determined that the new prescription in my right eye was still off. It’s just the lack of communication for me!! The condescending tones and the run around of when my glasses were going to be done was tiresome! The attitudes and the gossip that took place here was quite uncomfortable. The doctors were awesome but the optical side can use work. The front desk associates can also be taught better customer service skills.

I absolutely adore Dr. Moore however, his female staff members are awful! So rude - including the lady that places orders for contacts. I never leave reviews, but this is the third time I have interacted with these people and they ruin the entire experience. They are dismissive, short and at my last visit, they were complaining about another co-worker while I sat in the waiting room for my appointment. I will never call again and place a contact order because the lady that is supposed to "help" is so abhorrent. I may have to change eye doctors due to this...as much as I love seeing Dr. Moore. His

I will not be visiting this office again. Although, the lady that assisted me with my eye check-up was great. My issue is with the optical area and the no refund/return policy they don't have in place. I placed an order and on the same day I called wanting to cancel the order and request a refund. I was told by the man in the optical area that he couldn't cancel the order nor provide a refund. He stated once he hits submit its done. I have never experienced a merchant force you to take something you no longer want. I also emailed this office inquiring about their return/refund policy. I have yet

Update: Dr. Moore called me personally to apologize for the way I was treated over the phone by reception. I cannot begin to say how much that meant to me. I am updating my review as I am hopeful that my experience was a one time fluke and that going forward the kindness I was shown today is what customers continue to receive!

It was my first visit and I can say it was great! Dr. Steven was so patient and kind, she walked me through all the process and tried to explain every tiny detail with simple language, she was the best eye doctor I’ve ever had!
She wanted to do one more exam to be sure everything is fine with my eyes and they didn’t charge me for doing that extra work!!
Strongly recommended!!!

Dr. Moore's patient for 26 years...
Dr. Moore has been an excellent physician as well as friend after all these years...1991. I appreciate his intelligence and attention to detail in this profession. I stopped working downtown in 1998, but I come down during the day once a year for Dr. Moore. Great Doctor!

Poor customer service, owing to incompetent front office--and failure to supervise. Following my visit, the office was supposed to order my contacts and have them delivered. When I called 10 days later to say they never arrived, I was told things had slipped through the cracks, but they would be ordered that day and shipped for overnight delivery. Four days later I've been told (yet again), that the office failed to place the order. It is now two weeks from the original conversation with the front office--and I am still without contact lenses.

Dr. Moore and Dr. Beaver were recommended to me by a friend when I was looking for an Optometrist in the Charlotte area. I called to schedule an appointment and they were able to get me in the next day! :) Just a heads up, if you aren't familiar with the area finding the office may be a tad confusing but park in the Bank of America parking garage. Your parking will be validated. The office was very clean and the staff professional, helpful, and nice. I loved Dr. Beaver. Admittedly, this place is a pain in the patootie to find. If you're not familiar with the area and the parking situation, you might find yourself a little lost and annoyed, especially since parking isn't free. You have to park at the Bank of America Center parking (6th floor) and then walk in through the weird motion-sensor double doors that both swing open when you get close. Walk all the way forward through the lobby and over the skybridge (either one) into the "plaza" area. Ignore all the signs, as none of them will say any names of any place that will help you. I have been visting Dr. Steven C. Moore's office for a few years, but unfortately in 2013 I did not make it there, for my yearly visit. So, on my year end vacation I decided to take advantage of my insurance for the year and went to another eye doctor.
