Great experience! The exam was simple and quick, everyone was professional and answered all of our questions :)

Everyone here was really professional and nice and went into detail about my eye exam, left with peace in mind.

Had a great experience at this eye doctor a year ago. Now they stopped taking my health insurance??? Guess I'm going elsewhere. Bummer.

There are certainly positives about this practice, but the lack of consistent communication, professionalism, and transparency around fees and out-of-pocket expenses that insurance doesn't cover is what justifies the low rating for me.
The front office staff is pleasant enough, but their professionalism leaves a bit to be desired. When trying to set up the appointment, I had to reach out to VSP myself to verify my coverage, as they kept "getting an error message" when trying to do so, and were either unwilling, or unable to do anything further. Front desk lady is absolutely amazing!! You don’t find people nowadays that seem genuine and take the time to speak to you as a customer. Very thorough and patient with me and my daughter, I was VERY impressed. I came in wanting to schedule an appointment for me and my daughter and really took the time to explain to me my insurance information and when I called back again later on, made me feel a lot better about coming in due to COVID concerns for my family, I believe she said her name was Nichole??? The staff are incompetent, I tried to make an appointment and the girl couldn't spell my first or last name correctly. She then called VSP to verify my insurance and because she couldn't spell my name right, even my first name which is Christina she couldn't spell right, she proceeded to call me back to tell me that I don't have VSP coverage because she tried to verify my information with my name wrong because she can't spell or listen. I took the time to call VSP back and they confirmed as I told them that I had coverage. I called back and they didn't apologize, even

Just got back from an appointment with Dr. Z - what a pleasant surprise! Never one for doctors but she has a terrific bedside manner. I've recommended to a couple of friends and a colleague and all have agreed that Dr. Z is the "gold standard" in eye care.

I have been going here for 3 years. I loved it and even kept going although I live and work on the opposite side of Charlotte now. Today I had an appointment and did not realize I had left my debit card, in my purse, at work. I was in the middle of the exam when the office manager stopped it and said I would need to reschedule because I did not have the 15 copay. A copay that I was going to call in when I got back to work. I understand they have a policy but if you have a customer, who has been coming for years, and clearly needs their glasses (I sat on mine and currently only have one side holding

Everything went smoothly until I had an allergic reaction to my new contact RX. Called into the office and was told to try different scenarios ie solution, rewetting drops. Called back again and the Dr wanted to charge me another $48 for an office visit to change a RX that was not working for me. Not happy at all.

I definitely found my new eye doctor! My visit was excellent from the time I called and booked the appointment until I was finished with my exam and checking out! I've never liked wearing contacts because I could never find the right contact that was comfortable or that could give the vision I wanted. Dr. Z explained all my options and went over what my insurance would cover! She was so polite and understanding when I was discussing what I was having issues with! The technicians and front desk were also very polite and in a good mood! Would recommend to anyone!

Completely unprofessional! And just in case you don't believe me, here is my entire experience:

I went in to get my prescription back in December of 2014. I live in the university area and just happened to be in the Matthews area that day. I noticed their sign in the shopping center I was in and decided to see if they took my insurance(I only had a pair or two of contacts left from my last prescription) and get a new contact prescription. I walk in and ask if I can be seen today and the reception said yes with no hesitation. Little did I know there was going to be a 2+ hour wait! I wasn&apos

The staff at Element Eye Care are amazing. They helped me find out my insurance info and the exam was extremely thorough!! A plus to Dr Z and her team. I will always come back to her! Thank you again for such a great experience.

I used to be a patient at South Park's Lens Crafters optometrist but not anymore. Dr. Zawilinski runs a first class eye care operation. Her office is clean, the staff is friendly and flexible in regards to appointments and I didn't wait long for my eye exam. I would strongly recommend anyone and everyone who is in need of an eye exam to schedule an appointment with Dr. Z. You won't be sorry. Best of all Dr. Zawilinski is easy on the eyes!

Love everything about this office and their staff!!! Dr Z gave me the most thorough eye exam ever and was so patient and excellent with my daughter during her first exam.
