Services
H.E.R. was founded in 1989 by Registered Nurses with the primary goal of providing CPR, First Aid, Injury Prevention, and Health and Wellness programs to the community, teachers, corporations, civic organizations and healthcare professionals. Now a non-profit corporation, we strive to keep that mission alive today through the programs and communities we serve.
ATTENTION: If you are a NURSING STUDENT, you should take the BASIC LIFE SUPPORT FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS course; NOT the HEARTSAVER CPR/AED course. The life threatening emergencies of respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest and choking can be quickly identified and appropriately responded to with the life saving skills of CPR.
This course is appropriate for individuals who feel confident in performing all CPR skills. Come prepared to accurately demonstrate and be tested for certification. Participants wishing to complete this Hands-On Session [Step 2] at our Training Center must present a Certificate of Completion from the AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Online Course [Step 1].
Our most popular offering, this Saturday course offers all the necessary components to comply with the regulations for Pediatric First Aid and CPR training required by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care [EEC]. Certification is valid for two years. This course is offered on an ongoing basis once per month at our Bridgewater training center.
The goal of this program is to educate students in Grades 6 and higher in childcare safety, First Aid, CPR and babysitting responsibilities. This course will provide the tools to become a confident, reliable, and trustworthy babysitter. This course will focus on the responsibilities of a babysitter, growth and development of a child, and toy safety.
