Aceso Yoga
Many years ago, a friend encouraged me to take a yoga class. I personally didn't see myself as being very flexible and I wasn't into all the Eastern "rituals" that I thought was part of yoga. You can say that I had many misperceptions about yoga in general, so at the time, I told my friend, "That's not really my thing."

Time passed after that first invitation. Then, as a result of an accident, I sustained a neck injury. I have always been very active and for many years had been doing martial arts. As you might imagine, I wasn't ready to give up my lifestyle so I tried everything medically available, short of surgery, to regain my range of motion and to be free from pain.
Services
Our welcoming, sunlit studio is located in the Aceso Total Health Clinic in Lincoln, Nebraska. There is a separate entrance to the rear of the building. We offer radiant heat for hot detox classes, and for warm classes that allow for deep relaxation of muscles. Smaller-sized classes ensure a more personal approach to your yoga experience and the opportunity to build community with others in your class.
Therapeutic yoga incorporates body movement with breathing and mindfulness techniques to address physical and emotional health issues in the body. Learning to breathe correctly for pain management is very important. It is used to treat a variety of health problems through the use of yoga poses, meditation and breathing exercises to strengthen and condition the body, and to calm the mind and help individuals de-stress.
Aceso Yoga, Health and Conditioning offers a variety of classes to address many physical and emotional issues. We have developed classes to help with stress, weight, back and knee issues, anxiety, trauma, depression, PTSD, MS, and other illnesses. All classes are open to anyone regardless of health issues, size, or mobility, and no yoga experience is required.
A gentle, 1-hour class for all levels. The first 30 minutes will include yoga to help relax the body while the last 30 minutes will include a yoga nidra meditation. This is a wonderful class for anyone suffering from chronic illness or pain or for those who just need a chance to unwind their nervous system.
