If your infant suffers from tongue and lip ties, often known collectively as Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs), they may have issues nursing, and their oral development could be harmed. If left untreated, TOTs can result in an unhealthy bite or jaw position, or diastema (a large gap between the teeth). A frenectomy is the best way to treat tongue and lip ties to ensure that your child can swallow and move their tongue and lips normally.

Dr. Courtney was incredible! Our 3 week old baby had his lip and tongue tie released and everyone in the office were very professional and empathetic and provided us with excellent education! We felt that we were given great guidance about the procedure and what to expect afterwards and never felt that we were being pressured into doing the procedure! We were given great resources about the exercises and are very happy we went here!

We absolutely loved our visit to the dentist! My kids were nervous and the dental hygienists put them immediately at ease and had them smiling and laughing. They were thorough but quick and I was able to be with both of them at the same time. So friendly and fun! Dr. Courtney was amazing and gave us great feedback and tips for dental care. My kids are asking to go back!

We were referred to Kingstowne from our dentist when we moved and we are sincerely grateful! We love that they are a general pediatric dentist and orthodontia in one, but their professional methodology working with our child and desire to not pull teeth and instead, use other resources is unmatched! We took our 2 year old twins to their first dental visit yesterday and it was such a good experience! The hygienist, Abbey, was so sweet and patient, as was Dr. Courtney. I was expecting some tears during this visit but Abbey did such a wonderful job that my son was actually climbing back into the dental chair towards the end of the visit for more teeth cleaning! Highly recommend this dental clinic!

Great experience. As a military family with three kids we have had a lot of experience with new dentists. The office is clean and comfortable, all three kids had same appointment time and we were done within 45 mins, even with sealants. Dr. Courtney and her staff were so friendly and kind. Also a mark of a great doctor was when I mentioned my daughter’s pacifier use when she was young and she went out of her way to explain that probably wasn’t the cause of her crowded teeth to take some of the weight of mom guilt off my shoulders. Dr. Courtney was fantastic at diagnosing and treating our 6-week-old son. I felt confident there was an issue as we were struggling with feeding and his latch. Dr. Marzban was able to see him quickly, evaluate him, make sure we felt comfortable with the expectation and procedure, and treat him.

Today was my daughters first dental visit, she will be 2 on Saturday. Kingstowne Dental Specialists did a wonderful job with my daughter! They were welcoming, patient and really showed us the techniques that are important for children starting their good dental hygiene journey! They are highly recommended!

This team was absolutely wonderful!
I took my 3-year old for his first-ever dental cleaning. He was a little unsure at first, but they were patient and made him feel comfortable, and involved him in the process! He had so much fun holding the suction tube, and even asked for her to clean his teeth again. I laughed it off, but she did it! He was so happy when we left, and it was no stress for me. I wish my dentist was this cool 🤣 I will definitely recommend them to everyone with little ones.
