This is a mom and a pop pharmacy which was the first business I saw when we moved from West Philadelphia to Upper Darby in 1967. WHOA! that was a really long time ago and for it to have remained in my brain that long it must be a great place. There were no chains so you really got to know your local pharmacist.
My experiences with Mr. Pepper in the 60s , 70s and early 80s were very good ones. Back in the 60's when your child walked everywhere it was common to send your 8 year old child to pick up prescriptions, greeting cards, pain relievers Bandages ( We had 10 kids) and various sundries

In trying to give local businesses my business, I called for a quote on one of my maintenance medications. The pharmacy does not have a separate number, so I had to be transferred to the pharmacist, no big deal. Once transferred the the pharmacist, I got instant attitude from her. I asked for a quote on the generic form of my medication, but had to give her a brand name for her to even know what I was talking about. Once I got the quote, it was more than double what my quote from Wal-Mart. I would have still considered going there, but the pharmacist's attitude was a definite turn-off
