Clydon salon was established in 2002 by Kelly Tare, who is the master colorist and leading stylist. We have been providing quality hair and spa services at a great value in River Forest and Oak Park area. Clydon is involved in local charities and helping many non for profit organizations. The nail tech by the name of Acevora wasn’t good at all. My nails had jagged edges until the other nail tech named Jessie was amazing and corrected the mistakes the other tech made. Acevora actually cut my big toe and tried to play it off. I let it slide but, now I’m regretting it. I would definitely recommend going to see Jessie if you want an outstanding nail job.

Vicky is a talented, professional and sweet stylist. She is excellent at cutting and styling giving me the look I want. She is an artist at what she does with hair. I have lived in Oak Park now for 4 years and I am so grateful to have her as my stylist over the last 6 months. Vicky is a stylist that knows what she is doing.

Kelly, the owner of the salon, is lovely. The people who were customers ranged all ages and genders. My favorite was a mother and daughter duo with the daughter around age 60 and mom in her 80's. I'm not usually a fan of merging appointments where while I'm getting my hair colored, my stylist is working with another client. Staggering clients makes me nervous that I will be forgotten. Horrible experience at this salon. During the wash the hair stylist used a very pleasant shampoo with a calming scent and some head massage which was lovely. Unfortunately this was followed by an extremely stringent conditioner that smelled of peppermint. My scalp was stinging and my eyes were watering. In what was is peppermint a calming spa scent? Why do the head massage and relaxing environment only to follow or up with the abrasive and alerting peppermint?? I asked her to wash it off which she did half heartedly. I will definitely be coming back, I was greeted very nicely when I walked in, told that they would be right with me in a few min. When I sat down I explained that it had been a while since I had my hair colored and I needed my hair to look amazing since I am getting married September 2nd. They gave me any advice and help with my hair.

Approx. 10 years ago, my daughter gave me a gift certificate to have a spa experience at Clydon. I was reluctant because she bought the certificate never knowing how well they operate and I didn't want to travel all the way from Downers Grove. After her assurance to me that Clydon is legit, I made an appointment with Owner and Stylist Kelly. You walk in and the atmosphere is great. It's very calm and relaxed. And CLEAN! This place looked immaculate. I couldn't believe how clean a salon could be. The decor is very ambient and goes well with the vibe.
I had an appointment for 5:15. I walked in at about 5:10 and was put in my chair immediately. My stylist, Alex, and I went to work at deciding the best option for my hair.
