Amazing service! Staff is very accommodating. My husband had lost his wedding ring and they were able to find it and mail it to us. They truly go above and beyond in all aspects. Highly recommend this place.

Really lovely location and hotel. The rooms were great and the gardens and creek very serene and peaceful. We had a bit of trouble finding food options since their restaurant is under renovation, but that's hopefully a temporary issue till they reopen the restaurants.

Andrea was incredibly accommodating, upbeat, kind, thoughtful- all the stuff we love! Especially appreciated the attention to covid sanitizing/cleanliness and pet friendliness! Love that we can bring our pup with us!!

As for the hotel, the grounds are so pretty! Lots of green foliage and trees, fire pits, creek and places to sit and enjoy. We booked the Casa Olema Cottage our first visit- so lovely. The back patio table was our favorite place to relax. Also, it has its own parking area! Highly recommend the cottage. For our stay coming up, we're staying in a Mountain View King room. Excited

Very cute little inn. Dog friendly. No air conditioning. Nice size shower. Back doors open into the garden for easy access to take your pup out to go to the bathroom.

I have never been so disappointed in a "luxury" hotel. There is NOTHING luxurious about this Inn. The place is dated and needs a facelift. The room is awkward, small and not comfortable. The bathroom was so small complete with moldy soap dish. For what this hotel charges $599+ a night unacceptable.
To top off our luxurious stay we woke to rain coming into the room and additional rain about to bust through the ceiling.
The initial response of the hotel was to give us a $250 credit, they seriously offered that. We of course did not find that acceptable. They credited us one night, they

We really enjoyed Olema House and would definitely go there again. The room was sweet and quiet, and immaculate. The grounds are so lovely and relaxing. They offer a lot of little touches that made us feel pampered. Even our dog got a welcome gift bag!

Our Olema House experience has been fantastic. We came for a weekend getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary and was greeted with glass of wine at check-in (I believe everyone gets one) as well as a bottle of wine in our room. While the building is close to the road, the back green is quiet and tranquil, a perfect place to enjoy that glass of rose from check-in!

We chatted with Rachel prior to booking, for recommendations on our room, as well as dinner options. She was very helpful with both and we're happy with how it all turned out.

Room was cozy and comfortable. I saw another review

We had a wonderful stay at the Olema House! Me and my husband stayed in one of the cottages - it was spacious, very clean, cute decor, we had a private deck with plenty of seating, etc. We love that the hotel is dog friendly so we could bring our buddy along for a quick night away from the city. Due West was delicious for dinner as well. Rebecca and her staff were extremely friendly and helpful to get us a reservation last minute. We will definitely be back!

The grounds and the creek are beautiful, and plenty of places to unwind and relax. I've stayed multiple times, at both Junior Suites and the Cottages. I prefer the cottage because you have more private outdoor space. Staff is very accommodating.

Beautiful setting, and friendly, helpful staff. However the rooms are very noisy, especially in the ground floor. During the day you hear all the conversations going on in front and in the yard behind the hotel, not to mention walking along the wooden walkway, vacuum cleaner, etc. It did consistently quiet off at night.

My husband and I and our pooch stayed one night for a quick get away from San Francisco. Disappointed!!
Best parts: 1)location right outside National Seashore 2) grounds with beautiful well maintained gardens.

Inferior parts: 1)cost was high, value low, especially with added "resort Fee" of $25 for nothing but an unwanted bottle of wine and one of sparkling water?) and pet fee of $75! For tiny dog bed fit for a Chihuahua (we have an Irish Setter) and two small stainless steel bowls, 2) room was tiny and most offensive had no chairs to sit in!! No redeeming features. 3)The small dark

It was simply fabulous! We were so thrilled with our room and atmosphere we wanted to stay longer but no rooms available. The linens on the beds were luscious, a great night's sleep. Also morning coffee sitting in the backyard was wonderful. Definitely hope to return.

My wife's and my experience was so peaceful and relaxing. We stayed in the Drake Suite, and weren't let down. It was so gorgeous and unique. The view was stunning, the mood was cozy and romantic, and the staff was excellent. I guess of I must be critical at all, the natural architecture and and layout of our room prevented certain common amenities from being available in the room (like a coffee maker), but was available in the lobby in the morning. Also there was no TV, which is for is was a good thing! It kept our focus on what we came here for.
Easy 5/5. Will return. Will recommend.

We stayed at Olema House for 2 nights in May 2021. The staff ignored us and there were no housekeeping services. The room was tiny and expensive ($400 plus "resort fee" and tax) and there was no breakfast available. The garden in the back is the saving grace--beautiful!

Very disappointed with our visit. Not sure why this establishment was voted one of the best places to stay in California. Lovely property but very rustic grounds. Reserved a fireplace room, not told the fireplaces are no longer working. Stayed an extra night and moved to another room with a very small patio but there was not a TV in the room. Not told about that. Rooms are expensive. No room service. Hostess staff at the restaurant were clueless. Paying for 5 star but getting 1. Do not recommend for the price $$500/ night for one room. Better to rent a house. Was really looking forward

We are staying in their one bedroom cottage (carriage) by the creek. Location is great quiet and private. Cozy and cute. Dog set up with bed and bowls is nice but expensive at $75 per fee. Wish they would tell us the house is sloped at a 5% incline (feels like a ship tilted in water). Has kitchen and bathroom. Feels pricey for what the actual quality of the bathroom and kitchen is ( a little rundown). Maybe come if there is a good discount and you don't mind the 5% slope. Also the living room was ok for the kids to sleep in (old house) and dishwasher detergent not provided. At the price point

An ethereal and quirky lodge in a lush landscape. It's like a hotel from a British sitcom. A vulture on a tall tall dead tree loomed over the grounds at Halloween as a rush of racing Ferraris drove down the road. A deer munched under an ancient redwood tree in back. The staff is beautifully kind, though on cue one was stung by bee as we checked in. Dogs are welcome. There are no TV's or magnetic key cards. Real keys and ceiling fans and Adirondack chairs on slopped rolling lawns. Great bakery items here and down the road. Sea air. The bluffs are not too far a drive. Fireplaces and great

You can hop the creek and go exploring behind it too. The room was cute too. They serve a standard continental breakfast. They were accommodating to my dog and toddler, bonus! I have always lloves the Point Reyes seashore,, and this place is yet another reason to like it.

I recently found out that this place had changed ownership. We had stayed in the Creekside Cottage in 2010 and 2016 when it was the Point Reyes Seashore Lodge. I believed that our 2016 visit was going to be our last one, because the place was in great need of some TLC and updating. When I heard it had changed ownership and saw that it was redone AND accepted dogs, I was more than thrilled to return.

The Good:

They now accept dogs! A big hooray for us dog owners. When asking about the pet policy at check in, we were only told that we needed to keep our dog on a leash when on the grounds

We stayed here a night last month. It was absolutely gorgeous. Completely re-done. The room was top quality, with a very interesting layout. There is a fantastic tub. Patio that leads out to the garden, which is well-kept and absolutely gorgeous with a river at the back. Breakfast was so well done with smoked salmon and good cheese and all kinds of things.

It was a night of pure romance and pure pleasure that I will never forget.

To keep it light or keep it dark is an eternal question at Olema House. When I arrived, the manager walked behind me and opened the door to a pitch-black room. After a five-foot entrance, two stairs dropped to the bedroom area. ("Oh! Be careful!" said the manager, when he heard me stumble in the dark.)

One window faced a strong electric light and had a blind that wouldn't come down. In the spirit of balance, a light beside the bed went out after five minutes of blinking. (The manager had gone home, so I couldn't get another bulb.) The bathroom was on either side of the

The customer service here is great!

1) my hubby left his North Face jacket there and Norma facilitated the return for FREE

2) since it as raining, we ended up shortening our stay by one night and the manager understood & let us cancel with a MINIMAL fee.

We will definitely go back there during better weather.
