Services
We provide one of the best values in the Point Reyes area with our comfortable rooms in a restored 1912 Victorian farmhouse. We use earth-friendly cleaning and laundry products, and no pesticides are used on the property. Perfect for those with chemical sensitivities as well as those concerned for the environment.
Abalone Inn is a historic, Italian vintage 1912 home offering an expansive view of Black Mountain and the pastures and wetlands extending from Tomales Bay. The simple bohemian European-style of the Inn offers three unique guestrooms, each with private entrances and bathrooms. Our non-corporate atmosphere is comfortable and fits into rustic West Marin.
We are happy to share with you all that Point Reyes has to offer. We strongly encourage you to book early as lodging fills up quickly in the Point Reyes area particularly on weekends, holidays and in high season. Our guest rooms range from $120 to $180 per night for double occupancy. Use of tub is private for each room.

Quirky funky place run by a quirky funky proprietor. Classic West Marin experience overlooking Tomales Bay. If you appreciate these kinds of old classic houses and can follow well articulated expectations (quiet hours etc) you're in for a relaxing stay in a beautiful setting.

Very convenient and nice place to stay in Point Reyes. Owner was very pleasant and welcoming when I arrived. Room was clean, quiet, and cozy. I would recommend this place to singles and couples looking for a "base" while exploring the beach and Marin around Point Reyes.

My family of four deeply enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Abalone Inn. We watched the Harvest Moon set over the beautiful view of Tomales Bay Ecological Reserve from the spacious Victorian Wetlands Suite, then soaked in the cozy hot tub. Dona is the hostess and caretaker of this B&B, who introduced us to the setting then let us be to enjoy ourselves. Although everyone was under one roof, our stay still was very private and quiet. Dona was extremely helpful; I left my engagement ring under the bed and she shipped it to me (all the way out to Boulder, Colorado)!! We will definitely be staying here

I would not recommend this place. The lady is not friendly. I just called her and was looking for a place for a relaxing weekend with a couple friend. I was told we have to whisper only, wanted to know if we were older and let me know they didn't like older guest because they can't hear very well and talk to loud. I was also told "No toilet paper in the toilet", it had to go in a can next to the toilet. Now that is disgusting and unsanitary. I could go on about this conversation and I'm not even sure why I was even trying to get the room still. I should have read reviews first and the pictures

I'm sorry to say I cannot recommend this lodging. My sister and I spent two nights here over memorial day weekend to celebrate her 60th birthday. We are low maintenance guests, but we were called at 10:45 pm by the owner to reprimand us for being too loud....my sister was on the phone having a conversation in a normal tone of voice.
The attic room, for which we paid $240 a night, was musty and worn, the plumbing is so temperamental that you cannot put ANY paper in the toilet. There is a disgusting metal container to collect guests used toilet paper. The beds and bedding are old, uncomfortable

We made a last minute decision to stay an extra day in Point Reyes and the Abalone Inn was the only place that could accomodate us on such short notice. We had a wonderful stay there, very quiet and relaxing!! Donna was a superb hostess, very warm and informative on the area. I would highly recommend this Inn to everyone!! Jason & Karen Pacifica, CA

We enjoyed the upstairs living space so much that stayed most of the time indoors. It feels so cozy and stylish and has a great view of bay and hills.

I stayed at the Inn for two weeks in May 2014 and will definitely be back! Donna is a wonderful person and hostess. She made me feel welcomed and like I was at home- clean, comfy, and quiet. Good beds, lovely living room area with outstanding view, and one of the most gorgeous gardens I have seen. Eco-friendly without being over-the-top, so I did not feel as if I was walking on egg shells yet was doing my part. Her muffins are to die for and each breakfast was very good. She is knowledgeable about the area and has a lot of information available.
