Pegasus, the Flying Red Horse, shines as a vibrant icon from atop Magnolia Dallas Downtown, formerly the Magnolia Petroleum Company Building, one of the city's most revered structures. Built in 1922, this 400-foot high, 29-story structure was the first high-rise in the United States to have air conditioning and the city's first skyscraper.
Restored to reflect its original appearance, this landmark edifice built in 1910 includes original architectural masonry details and an exterior clock reminiscent of 17th Street's past as the "wall street of the west." Rated "One of the top 100 New Hotels in the World" by Cond Nast Traveler Magazine, Magnolia Houston, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, was originally the home of the Houston Post Dispatch newspaper and later the corporate office for Shell Oil Company. After extensive renovations, this 1926 historic landmark is now one of Houston's most distinct properties.

They charged my debit card $400.00 for damage that happened in a different room. I saw this additional charge on on top of the charge for my one night stay, so I contacted hotel they explained they made an error and charged me damage for wrong room and that they reversed payment. Upon further looking at bank account they charged me another $400.00 instead of reversing payment my one night stay cost me over $1,000. I understand mistakes happen but a phone call to report they took an additional $800.00 by mistake and that it would be a few days to see a refund and an apology would of been nice. The

We took 3 of our granddaughters to The Nutcracker Ballet at the Orpheum & stayed at the Magnolia. The staff at the Magnolia went above & beyond to make our granddaughters experience as magical as possible. They arranged for us to have our rooms available for early check-in so they could get dressed up. They delivered chocolate covered strawberries. They arranged their shuttle to take us to supper. This level of service is why - when we stay in Omaha - we stay at the Magnolia.

This review is based purely on the fact my sister had her wedding here. The rooms were beautiful and well taken care of. The hotel was beautiful, but for an event like a wedding, steer clear.
The event coordinators were great, but notice how there was more than one. Within a year, we went through THREE different event planners because they couldn't keep up with the quota the Magnolia's corporation had set in place. The hardest part was that the event coordinator that left did not relay to the new one replacing them with clients, so we often found ourselves reiterating what we had discussed

Rooms were comfortable, valet service was nice, and front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. However, You can hear everything from the rooms next to you like clearly hear conversations, bottles opening, music etc and then there’s quite a bit of noise from outside. If it weren’t for the noise problem I’d stay here again.

Definitely not worth the price. Like other reviewers said, the rooms were not clean, there was no breakfast or lunch offered, no amenities, front desk staff seemed disinterested, and the shuttle service was very disorganized. The breakfast/lunch restrictions were also not advertised on the website. We stayed at the Magnolia recently for a wedding and were not impressed with the rooms for the price we paid ($400+ for two nights!!). The room had stains on the carpet, no refills for toilet paper (which did eventually run out as it wasn't full to begin with), all the shampoo/soap bottles in the shower

Our family of five and our dog stayed here on our road trip across the country. The room was clean, the staff friendly & it was easy to find off the freeway. Shower was nice, though our family wished the bathroom door was more substantial. Beds & pillows were incredibly comfortable! The restaurant was understaffed, but the bartender/waiter was very friendly. I was not impressed with the food- menu was very small due to Covid, food was ok & took awhile to get out due to short staffed. And there were a couple of women at the bars who obviously had been over served and were playing

The architecture and history of this building was what attracted us. Upon arrival you are greeted by a breath taking lobby with wonderful stone work. The only parking is Valet so that's something to be aware of but the service was great. We went to our room and it was clean with a wonderful bathroom and shower. The best part of the hotel was the courtyard. We saw that they host weddings here and we actually met a couple that got married here and was celebrating their anniversary which was great to see. We spent every evening in the courtyard and it was an amazing experience. There is no question

This hotel is housed in an absolute architectural gem but I'm here during the supposed end of the pandemic so there are no pens or paper, they don't clean the room or give you fresh towels or sheets etc. I'm giving 5 stars anyway assuming they go back to normal soon because I think this is the best place to stay in Omaha.
The courtyard is architecturally stunning and the location is perfect. You can walk to the Old Market in five minutes, the Orpheum is right around the corner, and the stadium is walkable but quite a bit further. There's a nice bar off the lobby that serves

I am going to give this hotel rating a 2, a very soft 2 stars. We are in town for a volleyball tournament and was unfortunate to have a block of rooms for a team of 16-17 year old teenage girls at this hotel. It's an old hotel that used to be a bunch of doctors offices and other business offices at some point. We check in to find out that you either park on the street and "feed the meter" or you park in valet parking which is $27 per night. Also was charged $100 incidental fee (which should be reimbursed). There is no pool. Apparently there is a workout room but closed due to

This hotel is great at promotion, poor at execution. Nothing in my room worked. The thermostat, the remote, bathroom bulbs out, front door security sensor. Lots of attitude at desk. No real lobby. Dingy, musty small rooms. Thrown together. Great bones in building, sell it to Kimpton, they can fix it.

This place had a pretty cool look/feel to it. It had an older design, which feels rare with all the new boutique hotels out there. The room was a great size and included a large bathtub.
They were dog friendly which was great but when we got to the room our dogs kept finding old dog food hidden under furniture which was concerning since it felt like they hadn't cleaned very thoroughly. I wish they had some "dog" touches since they're a dog friendly hotel like having a water/food bowl.. . maybe that would have helped with the past guest and the dog food issue.
Also the room

Reserved 2 separate rooms for my family:
For the First Room:
There was an old/used/not cleaned towel in the room upon checkin - staff was notified and it was not removed. Also, there was no soap was in the shower, one of the disposable toothbrush given was taken after the first day (and not replaced) even though the stay was longer than 1 day.
For the Second Room:
A lot of confusion with the wake up call. My parents had an early flight so they requested a 3AM wakeup and a 330AM Shuttle. While luckily they got up without the 3AM wakeup, when they went to confirm the shuttle was coming and inquire

I can only review the restaurant here-The District is a great place to eat before a show at the Orpheum! It definitely has a nice feeling walking inside with tall ceilings, plenty of seating, and a cool vibe décor. We made happy hour, which goes til 6p.m. that has $4beer, $6wine & $5wells! Some teezers: chicken wings, egg rolls, chips & salsa all 1/2 price! The drinks were good & Santa Fe fried egg rolls came out stuffed with spicy chicken, peppers, black beans, onions & cheese-side of sour cream & salsa! Definitely order that again!
Off happy hour there's amazing

This is a terrific hotel. The staff is awesome and the rooms and public areas get two thumbs up from me.
The rooms, though generally smaller than average, are what you might expect in a boutique property and well maintained. The beds are comfortable (note to management: guests should be able to request firmer pillows; not everyone likes "fluffy") the amenities are standard and the drapes actually block about 90 percent of the outside light. The rooms are well soundproofed, too; unless children are playing right outside your door, you'll sleep well.

How the Magnolia Hotel got a 94% on Hotels Tonight is questionable.
Yes I checked in around midnight after a red eye flight, but for the staff to act as if I were doing them a disfavor by using their hotel was unappealing at best.
An old hotel does not mean an unkept, musty and in need of renovation hotel. The quaint vibe is eminent, but so is the carpet that must be replaced. All a shame because the room was quite nice. Though to this day I don't understand why the room keeper decided to make my bed by stacking the pillows on the chair by it. Hell, it was comic relief for the day.

There are a lot of things the Magnolia Omaha does right, but there are too many things that need work. So, we arrive at an "A-OK" review....
I arrived for my check in around 3:45 in the afternoon. There was no one out front. I wasn't even sure I was at the right entrance, so I called the hotel. I confirmed that they do have valet parking ($19/day) and there was no bellman to help with luggage. But, they had the rolling luggage racks for you to use. So, I just left my car there and went inside to check in. The woman at check in was very friendly, and the process was quick
