Best Beginnings Preschool in Redmond offers 3's Preschool, 4's Pre-Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten Classes. A developmentally appropriate play-based curriculum helps children solidify the skills they have and encourages growth and development in emerging skills. We strive to provide a warm, nuturing environment where children ages 3, 4 and 5 can learn, play and grow.

Services
The primary goal of our 3's Preschool class is to get children comfortable in a setting outside of their home. For many children this is their first group experience. This class emphasizes socialization, fostering friendships, experimenting with new and different materials, learning to take direction from others, differentiating from teacher-directed time and unstructured play, as well as sharing and learning together in a cooperative framework.
At Best Beginnings, our Pre-Kindergarten 4's class recognizes the children's cumulative skills developed as three years old's. It also challenges them to utilize their developing abilities in the areas of art, circle time, music, science, drama, fine motor skills and peer interaction. Our teacher to student ratio is 2:16.
Our Transitional Kindergarten class is geared toward older 4 year old's who have two years of preschool experience under their belt but don't quite make the age cutoff for kindergarten. This class encourages children to actively explore experiment and express themselves in a variety of activities. There are also additional opportunities for independent/group art projects, group discussions and class responsibility.
Kerry has been teaching at Best Beginnings Preschool since 2006, spending time in both our 3's and PreK programs as a lead teacher. She was born and raised in Washington State. Kerry received her BS Degree in Community Health Education from Central Washington University and her Masters Degree from City University.
