First and foremost, trust is established. Then an authentic assessment is possible. The assessment process can be accomplished in a session or two, or may possibly take longer. The primary variable is the client's ability to be forthright in what is going on. The number one symptom of the disease of addiction is denial, meaning gathering accurate information can be challenging.
One-on-one counseling is often a great place to begin the process. Addiction can be a scary place, and even scarier to talk about. It is essential to build trust through honest conversation. The origins of addiction are varied and specific to each individual. Their "story" must be heard in order for therapeutic progress to take place.
The staggering number of treatment options are difficult to navigate, especially when under duress. Most of us have limited resources, whether it be out of pocket or insurance benefits. It is imperative to receive services that match our needs. It is easy to waste time and money searching for the"right" place or path.
Love Wins is dedicated to bringing services into the community. Addiction and alcoholism are subjects that people who are most impacted by them, are also most reluctant to talk about. It is imperative to take the message of hope to those who are silently struggling. I encourage churches, schools, and community agencies to provide the vital platform to deliver a message of recovery.

My family and I have such high praise for Jonathan Clarke’s counseling. His sincere care in guiding us to a healthy understanding of our daughters struggles was heartwarming.
He gave us all the tools and confidence to move forward, to be a better family.
His knowledge of drug and substance abuse, how to heal and then move through it was a life saver .
Can’t say enough how thankful we are.
