Place Of Peace Counseling & Therapeutic Center
Place of Peace was created to help individuals, couples and families in our community navigate the stressful nature of dealing with mental health and other life challenges. We are a group of psychologists, therapists, counselors and social workers who use cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness and meditation and trauma therapy, among other things, with the goal of helping individuals create a peaceful place inside themselves.

We know this can be difficult, especially when we are struggling with anxiety, depression or emotional pain. Our therapists use empirically-validated and time-tested treatments to help you identify the cause of your pain, heal the underlying issues that are leading to your symptoms and build new skills for healthier habits and patterns.

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health problems that almost all of us have experienced at one time or another. In fact, in such a fast-paced, high-pressure world, it is difficult to avoid. For some, it is chronic and takes a toll on the body and immune system, leading to physical health problems over time.
When you are struggling with depression, the world can seem to lack color - nothing brings joy, feelings are numbed, sadness pervades. This common mental health problem can affect all areas of an individual's life: mentally, emotionally, physically, and socially. If untreated, depression can feel like a constant struggle and an uphill battle, but there are ways to combat it, and we are here to help.
A one-time direct or indirect experience of death, threatened death or serious injury, or the knowledge that a relative or close friend has been exposed to this sort of trauma. An overwhelming medical diagnosis, the onset of a disability or a strenuous and life-interrupting course of treatment for a medical problem.

Place of Peace is absolutely amazing, a professional atmosphere with very skilled therapist. I have been fortunate enough to see Dr. Ferguson(the owner) for over 6 years. They don't come any better than her! When I first started therapy I was in so much pain and was so scared to open up to somebody I didn't know. Well she made that process so much easier for me. I never felt judged by her which led to more honesty and more growth. She is very authentic and is extremely talented. Initially I was so scared to do trauma therapy but she has helped guide me through every step and it has been so helpful

The staff at Place of Peace are so incredibly genuine. They truly want to assist you in any way possible in your own recovery. Whether that be anxiety, depression, addiction, you name it, these people are amazing. They make sure you feel welcomed and understood with no judgement. Using techniques that fit your needs and nothing else. I couldn't recommend this place more highly if I tried too. If you are looking for assistance in coping skills or any of the other things I mentioned before... this is your place. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Dr. Ferguson is an incredibly talented therapist. She has an amazing gift of being able to relate to a variety of different situations that helps when you're trying to open up to someone. She asks questions that have me thinking for hours and looking at things through a different filter. The environment itself is really warm and calming which helps to set a peaceful tone as well. I would recommend Dr. Ferguson and her colleagues for anyone who's interested in learning about themselves and how to move forward in a positive direction.
