Iodine deficiency may cause hypothyroidism as well because iodine is an essential element used to synthesize thyroid hormones. The body does not produce iodine naturally therefore, we need to obtain iodine from dietary sources such as dairy products, shellfish, iodized salt, soy milk and seaweed.
Overall when there is a iodine deficiency in the body then thyroid hormones such as T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (thyroxine) cannot be produced and a goiter, which is an enlarged thyroid gland, may develop instead.Pituitary gland damage may also contribute to hypothyroidism. The signal to produce thyroid hormones comes from the hypothalamus in the brain and travels to the pituitary gland, another gland found in the brain.

Never been treated so rudely. I wear a mask and follow all rules - but they absolutely treat you like you are a leper. They use the pandemic to hide behind their locked door so they don't have to interact with customers. I have been to other pharmacies during the pandemic and they manage to keep us safe, follow CDC guidelines while still treating you like a human being.

I've been getting my compound prescriptions among other things filled at this pharmacy for the past 10 years and absolutely love them! Moses is an amazing pharmacist/owner and his staff are very well versed in professionalism, education and safety protocol (due to Corona Virus). They have excellent customer service and go the extra mile to give honest, reputable advise or suggestions. Not once was I told or sold CBD oil. Moses and his staff have high integrity and credibility! I highly recommend this pharmacy and would not go anywhere else for my compounding needs. Keep up the good work

I have used Folsom Medical Pharmacy for almost 4 years. Moses, the pharmacist, is incredibly smart, and always willing to explain and discuss compounding options to best suit your needs. The staff is exceptional and always has my script ready in a timely manor. I have several close options for compounding pharmacies, but I prefer this one!

I came to Folsom Medical Pharmacy after another compounding pharmacy treated me poorly and told me I couldn't get a prescription filled for four days. They didn't call me to let me know either, just waited until I came in. I immediately called my doctor and asked her to send the prescription to another pharmacy and I am so glad she did. At Folsom Medical Pharmacy I was greeted when I walked through the door by all of the employees and within 24 hours I had my prescription in hand. The pharmacist gave me clear directions and took extra time since I was a new patient. I cannot recommend them highly

this is a wonderful pharmacy where clients can find those medications and compounds most other pharmacies don't have, it also have a very friendly and modern feel to it, so it doesn't feel like any other pharmacy like a Walgreens or rite aide.
Additionally they do custom compounding for todays problems and are a great resource.
I highly recommend them

I love this pharmacy! I will only come here it's clean and the staff is extremely nice and the owner is always there to greet you. The best part is they fill your prescription in 15 min or less I have 3 kids I can't wait a half hour or more like they make you do at pharmacies like walmart. They also carry Glo minerals a hard to find makeup line that I've been using for 8 years now and they have all the necessities that I can pick up while I'm waiting like children's Tylenol and it's cheaper of not the same price as cvs or any other drug store. I came in this afternoon to grab some Floragen3 (this is the only place around that carries it). The girl at the front greeted me and was super nice! I asked about a problem that I have been having with my legs and she grabbed the pharmacist for me, and he was VERY nice and extremely helpful. He took the time to get me a little sample of some cream to try out. I hope it works, even if it doesnt they were extremely nice and helpful! Thank you to everyone at Folsom Medical Pharmacy!!! :)

I've been coming here a little over three months now, and I must admit that I've fallen in love with the staff AND the products. I had many questions about their skin care products (Cosmo Grade) and the vitamin supplements (Metagenics), and they were extremely informative about each product. They also were just all around friendly. I appreciate people who love doing their job and really caring about the customer. I would definitely recommend any of my friends/family/colleagues to frequent Folsom Medical Pharmacy!
