Services
Storyville Preschool is a bright, colorful building, custom designed and dedicated to the creative and intellectual development of preschool children. Each of our spacious classrooms is equipped to encourage each child's imagination with murals of favorite children's stories on the walls, hands-on activities and educational materials and resources.
Storyville Preschool subscribes to the philosophy that each child develops at his her own rate, and that children have individual needs. Teachers work with children in small groups so that they can individualize instruction and challenge them to work to their potential. Storyville Preschool staff offer the kind of one-on-one attention and positive reinforcement that children need to feel successful.
Lead Teacher in Kindergarten classroom, Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with over 25 years of teaching experience. DeeDee joined Storyville in 2001. Lead Teacher in Preschool classroom, Associates degree in Early Childhood Education with over 25 years of teaching experience.
At Storyville Preschool there are Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten classrooms. Each classroom has a theme based curriculum that considers the childrens' interests and skill levels. Our diverse multicultural curriculum promotes growth in language arts, math, science, social studies, music, dramatic play, socialization and fine and gross motor skills.
Storyville Preschool has been NAEYC accredited since 2004. Accredited programs must maintain standards of excellence set by NAEYC, and apply for reaccreditation every 5 years. Storyville has been granted reaccreditation with distinction, earning scores of 100% or more in 8 of 10 standards.
Storyville earned 91% in 2 categories, and the classrooms scored an incredible 97% and 99%! Parents can feel confident that in choosing Storyville they are getting the best possible education for their child.The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care has developed a scale to measure program quality called the QRIS rating scale.
