Services
Aiea Hongwanji Preschool is a non-profit organization founded in 1971 by the members of the Aiea Hongwanji Mission Kyodan for the purpose of providing care and education opportunities for children 3 to 4 years of age. Our preschool is operation under the jurisdiction of the Mission's Preschool Committee.
To provide Hawaii's children with an opportunity to be successful learners and productive citizens by giving them a basic foundation through a quality early education program. My son now attends Aiea Hongwanji Preschool and is in the 3s class. He started when he was barely 2 and a half. He has truly flourished in a year with his social skills, attachment issues, and potty-going (must be potty trained when attending). Mrs. Claire and her staff are wonderful!! The curriculum and how they talk to and teach these kids is amazing. My middle daughter also attended when she was 2.5 to age 4. We liked it so much we had the youngest go to!!! Same teachers and same warm and friendly environment. The fact that it is "attached" to a Buddhist Temple was not a deterrent and not really
