As a Primary Care provider, my goal is to facilitate the body's infinite potential to heal itself. Through working with my patients, I have seen the impressive results that acupuncture and herbal medicine can have. My background includes training not only in acupuncture, but in a wide array of Asian medicine modalities as well as biomedicine and nutrition.
Several thousand years ago, East Asian practitioners discovered that the body forms disharmonies as a result of the various physical and mental stresses of life. Oriental medical theory explains these disharmonies as an imbalance of opposing forces called yin and yang. This imbalance disrupts the movement of the body's vital energy (qi) along the meridian pathways, which are channels through which the body's energy is thought to flow.
Chinese herbs are often used in conjunction with acupuncture for added therapeutic effect. While many cultures have herbal medicine traditions, the sophistication of Chinese herbal medicine is unsurpassed. Chinese herbal medicine has a long history reaching back several thousand years, and the resulting system is now used to treat everything from the common cold to cancer and other chronic diseases of our modern times.
Acupuncture works by activating the body's own healing powers, so it can be beneficial for many health conditions. The World Health Organization (WHO) has documented many symptoms, diseases, and conditions that have been shown in controlled clinical trials to be effectively treated with acupuncture.

We are not a contracted provider with any insurance companies, and we no longer direct-bill for insurance, but if you have a PPO plan, we can give you a super-bill with the necessary codes, which you can send into your insurance company for reimbursement if your plan covers Acupuncture.We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel an appointment.
