Dr. David Michaels received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry.

In addition to assessing your visual acuity, your eye care provider will test for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes are functioning together, and more. Serious health issues like diabetes and high blood pressure are often first detected during an eye exam. The American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends children have their eyes examined at 6 months old, three years old, at the start of school, and every two years until age 18.

I always have a great experience at Millard family Eyecare. Absolutely love my optometrist and all the staff is so friendly and professional and kind. They are great at helping pick out frames and you are in and out in no time. I have been going here for 3 years now and I will continue going. Wonderful experience!

I stopped in to pick up my new lenses tonight.
I was greeted at the door by the two ladies behind the desk. They were both smiling and friendly. They directed me to the area I needed to go. The lady who put in the lenses in my frames was very nice also. Quick service, no wait time and a very genuinely friendly staff!!

Staff are so friendly through the whole process. Doctors do a great job with patient care and explaining any findings during your exam. Definitely recommend Millard Family Eye care to friends and family. They have a great selection of Eyecare, and staff were helpful and patient as my daughter made her selection.

Our visit was fast, friendly and efficient. They called us to set an appointment and we got in the same day. We came early to the appointment and they saw us anyway, they were quick, friendly, and helpful. When finished fitting the glasses, they told us to bring them back for any adjustments if we needed too. It was a nice, smooth experience.

We Always have a great experience here! Dr David Michaels is great about explaining everything and is very thorough, which I appreciate! Everyone is very friendly even though they are swamped most of the time! I’ve tried other eye clinics in town but always come back to Millard Eye on Q street! Thanks for all you do!

I made an appointment for an FAA required eye exam. While making the appointment I discussed what I needed with two people at the office. They assured me they could they could do everything required. I brought them the paperwork to triple check and they assured me everything was kosher. I waited 2 weeks for the appointment then 2 hour before they called and said I needed to go to my old Doctor. My old doctor had retired. Millard Family Eye Care didn't care and wouldn't explain why they wouldn't do the appointment. Completely incompetent. Avoid this office.
