Regular eye exams are an invaluable tool in maintaining healthy eyes by detecting and preventing disease. Some diseases develop slowly without causing pain or vision loss. Early detection of any problems can reduce the risk of further harm and allow for a choice of treatment options.

Part of your exam includes the following procedures: Slit Lamp Examinations, Dilated Eye Exams, Refraction for Glasses and Contact Lenses and Glaucoma Pressure Testing as well as a series of computerized tests to determine the health of your eyes. Thanks to the advances in optical technology, almost everyone is a candidate for contact lens use.
At E.B. Meyrowitz, you will find a compassionate and experienced team that is dedicated to providing a full spectrum of high-quality personalized vision care for the whole family. Our goal is to meet and exceed your expectations by providing friendly service, professional care, and the best quality products.
Your first visit to our practice establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information and give you time to get to know your doctor. Our office's mission is to work together with you to realize a shared vision of uncompromising excellence in optoemtry.
Nearsightedness (myopia) is a common vision condition in which you can see objects near to you more clearly, than objects far away. The degree of your nearsightedness determines your ability to focus on distant objects. People with severe nearsightedness can see clearly only objects just a few inches away, while those with mild nearsightedness may clearly see objects several yards away.

Nice little store with very good selection of frames. Sales person named Nick is doing the owners of this place no favors: he explained why none of the frames I asked him about would work, while looking at his watch. Didn't even try to pretend he is interested in his job. I will relay my experience to my optometrist, who recommended this store. My first visit was my last. I do not recommend.

Had to make the move to progressive lenses a few years ago. Tried another provider, but the lenses made me dizzy. The glasses Meyrowitz made were fantastic, like night and day compared to the other provider. A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

This optician is very uneven in terms of its level of service. I purchased expensive frames and lenses from Meyrowitz and Dell, but it took three trips to its shop before the side pieces were properly adjusted. One would think that such a simple procedure would have been done correctly the first time. There are two owners of this shop: One was not very helpful or particularly concerned about the fitting problem of my eye glasses; The other was quite helpful, but I had to determine in advance when he would be in the shop to offer his assistance since the other partner was relatively useless.

This is a middle- to high-end operation but in return for the extra money you get treated by opticians who take careful measurements of your eyes, fill your prescriptions exactly, and add a warranty: if you are not satisfied with what you bought, you may be able to return and let Meyrowitz and Dell get it right. Mark Turturro is the manager, a man I have utmost faith in. He served me well for some fifteen years. I've never been disappointed with his glasses, which have always matched what the optometrists have ordered. This treatment is unlike that of the schlock enterprises who have several

The frames I buy from here each year, and I go out of my way because I'm in Denver, are amazing. Not a day passes without a comment about my current ones. Unique frames and down to earth service make Meyrowitz well worth the trip.

I am not one to usually write reviews but I have been a fan of Marc Turturro at Meyerowitz for over 20 years. He takes amazing care of my pediatric and adult patients and provides exceptional customer service. i know there are many places to get less expensive glasses now but you will run the risk with young children of an improper fit. Many friends and colleagues have also used Marc and have raved about the care they received.

Overrated. Highly dissatisfied, although they were recommended to me by the Cartier store on 5th Ave. and they are known as one of Karl Lagerfeld's favorite stores in Paris. I paid for anti-glare glasses and obviously those are not anti-glare. They give me a headache. Very poor job overall. They don't perform eye exams. You can safely walk away and look elsewhere.

After having my progressive bifocals redone twice at Cohen's, I still couldn't see very well. My ophthalmologist suggested I go here, and what a HUGE difference. They recommended Zeiss Individuals, and took a series of precise digital measurements for them. The improvement in my vision was unbelievable. These people care about details, gave me attentive, personal service, and the price was competitive. If you need something a little more complicated than single-vision glasses, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended.

We used them this year for the first time after our junger son (5 years old) needed to have glasses. Was recommended by his optometrist. Well they are great and the service they delivered to our little guy were top notch. His first pair was damaged after a few weeks because of his need to wear an eye patch. They replace the frame free of charge, advise us on another temporary one. Lenses are high quality, as is the fit. We will now start using them for the whole family. Recommended
