I'm Dana and I am the photographer and portrait artist at Dana Ashlyn Photography in Garner, NC. I discovered my love of photography as a teenager when my father gave me his old Pentax SLR camera. I began my professional career in 2000 and launched Dana Ashlyn Photography in 2007. I have a passion for creating portrait art that never goes out of style.

I can’t put into words how awesome Dana is! First, she is incredibly friendly and easy to work with. She made the process so easy. I went with the heirloom charcoal of my little girl and it turned out beautiful. Her expertise helped me with my choices along the way. I can't even find the words to describe how WONDERFUL it is to work with Dana. Having a baby during COVID-19 has been quite possibly one of the most stressful events I could have ever imagined. We spoke with several photographers as we wanted to capture such a precious time in our lives. Dana was so careful, responsive, and detail-oriented. She immediately put us at ease and willingly shared all of her safety protocols! And not to mention, her pictures are INCREDIBLE!!! I am so glad we found her. We have found our family photographer for life!

If you’re looking for an amazing photography experience with a cheerful soul, Dana Ashlyn is the perfect choice. I have three kids under five and she gets show stopping photos of them - every single time! I’ve done a maternity, family (15+ people!), newborn, 2 one year sessions and her amazing Christmas collection. She exceeds my expectations and captures my children’s personalities just perfect! Dana has been photographing my family and my cousins’ families for years. Her portraits are stunning and heirloom quality.
