When Frank and Melissa Turner opened their first child care franchise they chose the name Legacy Academy For Children, that choice laid the groundwork for the mission and philosophy of our organization. Your children are your legacy, hence our motto "The perfect beginning for your legacy." Our schools are located throughout the Southeast and we continue to expand our operation.
We have waiting lists in many classrooms, so placement cannot be guaranteed by submission of these forms. We'll be in touch to obtain any other needed information and obtain any necessary documentation. Thanks again for contacting Legacy Academy, "the perfect beginning for your legacy.". At Legacy Academy, our mission is to serve our children, families, staff, and communities in a manner that positively impacts their lives.
Each Legacy Academy franchise adheres to strict standards to maintain the quality you deserve. Helping young children thrive requires an ongoing commitment to quality. We don't rest on our considerable successes, we build on them each day. Quality assurance representatives from corporate headquarters visit each school at least twice a year.
All Legacy Academy schools are accredited or in the process of attaining accreditation. Accreditation of our early childhood programs is a reflection of Legacy Academy's commitment to academic excellence. All Legacy Academies follow the principles of The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
It is such a great feeling to know that our family has found a daycare center that is so supportive. This is my daughter's first time ever being totally in someone else's care. I can truly say that I love Legacy Academy. Thank you for taking such great care of my child. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Legacy Academy.

This daycare has taken care of both of my children. They are an amazing facility and staff. Chris and Wendy both take pride in what they are doing for the children they are caring for. I don’t have one bad thing to say about Legacy Academy. They are reliable and communicate in a prompt time. Safety is their number one priority. I would recommend them to anyone.

We had a very positive experience at Legacy Academy for our little one! We started in the infant room at 6 months old and went through until about 15 months old in the 1 year old+ room. The pick up and drop off were always smooth, good daily communication about development and needs, and overall positive experience as far as quality of care. School is clearly focused on skills development and creating a safe, nurturing, consistent routine. I would re-enroll again in the future if our situation changes as far as child care needs.

There's enough said with this article. Listen to the bad reviews. They try to act like they care about your kid, but really they only care about money. It's sad how much psychological harm they caused my daughter by pretty much forcing her out of their facility because she was a "bad kid" and was "dangerous" The only nice person is Ms. Tonya. Unfortunately she can't do it all and the owners are extremely fake. Chris the husband is SO rude. He was the one

We love Legacy! Our infant daughter has been at Legacy for about 3 months now. The teachers are wonderful and truly care for the kids. Sometimes I come in and my daughter is sitting on the teacher's lap and singing/ listening to a story. She always laughs and is happy to go to school.. They have really helped us with the various phases of infant transitions- like starting solids, teething etc. The classrooms are always clean and the daily reports tell us about nap/ feed schedules. On days when our daughter was under the weather, we were informed in time, so we can organize our schedules to come

Our experience with Legacy Academy has been nothing but positive. My infant son's teachers love him like he is their own... I couldn't ask for better. The facility is very clean and organized. My son is always smiling and happy when I pick him up and his teachers are happy to see him when he arrives each morning. If there is ever a question, the school reaches out to me directly, and his teachers encourage me to call/text them if I have questions or just want to see how he is doing.
One big plus for me (a working mom) is that Legacy Academy has hours a bit longer than other places I

We have had #RemarkabaleRileyJane at Legacy Academy Chapel Hill for over 5 weeks now and the staff, management & ownership has made Rachel Cotter & I feel very comforting that our daughter is not only being taken care of but also filled with stimulation and a classroom full of love. Thanks for making our day's just a tad easier. :-)

Being a new resident of chapel Hill at the time my emotions were all over the place when it was time for me to send my at that time six month old to daycare. They were patient with her as she adjusted to the new environment and made me feel confident as well sent me numerous pictures thru the day to give me comfort that my child was just fine. Now today at 21 months my daughter runs into daycare and doesn't want to leave when I pick her up! This place is amazing

My son started at Legacy around 3 months old. He will he turning 3 next month and we are still there! The hours are great - there are very few centers nearby that are open at 7am and close at 6pm. The classrooms are bright and spacious. There are glass windows everywhere which gives the building a very open feel and I like that you can look into any classroom at any time. My son has had some great teachers there. Some of the teachers are no longer there unfortunately but I understand that child care do tend to have high turnover rates. My son looks forward to going to Legacy every morning and will

We have been incredibly impressed by Legacy Academy, and our son loves the teachers and classroom experiences. We have seen how the teachers consistently give him a great learning experience while also sharing both fun details and important milestones about his development with us. The owners clearly focus heavily on the quality of their staff and facilities, and we feel confident that our son is receiving a wonderful experience and education.

My daughter has been at Legacy Academy for about a year and a half. Our experience there has been largely positive, and I recommend giving it consideration if you are searching for a preschool in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area. I have given it four stars although if Yelp allowed me to do half stars, I would probably give it 3.5.
The facility is very nice, with clean rooms and a good outdoor play space. The owners and staff are very pleasant. My daughter's teachers have been great. She seems very happy there and she is progressing well. I don't know much about the curriculum but

5/5 I would recommend Legacy Academy!!
Legacy has stolen my heart. My child is currently attending Legacy and with him being my first, all parents know how hard it is to leave your baby in a new environment. He is socializing, learning to feed himself, doing arts and crafts and being cared and LOVED by the amazing Junior toddler teacher!
Their curriculum meets every child’s needs. I’m currently the preschool teacher and not only do i love my job but all my babies I get the honor to teach. We have students reading sight words, independently writing their own name, identifying other friends

Our little one has being going to LA for about 4 months, and our experience has been very positive. The school facilities are clean and has a cheerful vibe. Am always greeted with smiles at the front desk, and have noticed that the owner is always quick to addresses any kid who walks by, by his or her first name. I couldn't be any more happier with my infant's teacher Ms Whitney. She cares for my daughter very dearly and it is very obvious how comfortable they are with each other. My little one is picking up great social skills, and we are very happy with the activities they do everyday even at

My daughter has been at Legacy Academy for over a year now, and I couldn't be more thrilled! My daughter is 18 months, and when she first started she was a little under 4 months old. I was a nervous wreck; I was so upset at having to leave her. The staff could not have been more kind, caring, or warm to support both of us during this hard transition. I drove so fast to get her the first day, envisioning that she'd been screaming for me all day, and much to my surprise, she was extremely happy! She has loved Legacy from the very first day, and that is a huge testament to the environment

Anyone that puts this place down or says this place has a problem with kids of other races need to stop smoking the green stuff because I have seen nothing of the sort in the 2 months we have been there. The staff is a mix of different ethnicity as well as the students. Staff and children are all happy and if they aren't they are great actors. My 2 kids love going to school here. My 2 and a half year old was a very slow developer that still wears 18 months clothes, doesn't talk and could hardly walk. Now she is saying words, running all over the place and acting like a normal child

My son was at Legacy Academy for a year and a half before I had to abruptly remove him last week. I tried to tell myself that certain things were in my head until it became abundantly clear that I was not imagining it. While the staff are great, the owner Wendy, has some serious issues. I believe her to have some serious implicit bias towards children of color. She also has run off at least a dozen staff members during my time there, including an AMAZING director, my son's favorite teachers and even the COOK. She speaks in the most condescending manner to her staff members, and I've personally

My son has attended Legacy for the past 1.5yrs. He had a tough go of it with a few of the teachers but has really connected with his peers and is well taken care of. Teacher turn over is one of the toughest variables in this industry and the owners do a great job of communicating with parents when it happens and supporting the kids as well. They have a working garden, beautiful LARGE classrooms and a very clean environment. The playgrounds are fantastic too with a water feature for the kids to enjoy in the summer.

Beautiful new school. This Chapel Hill family owned business is an excellent place for children to get their first experience with education. It is clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is in a safe residential area. After touring the building I would love to send my children to a school of this caliber.

Not much of a five-star experience...
We enrolled our 3y/o here in a rush after the year had started. They had a really nice, brand new, infrastructure (though the playground has barely any shade), and we basically trusted the five star accreditation that is boldly displayed on their front gate.
We were not really impressed with the teachers from the start but tried to take things easy. As the days went by, it was evident that there were some out of control boys in the classroom that the teachers were unable to tame down. Just one week into this new preschool, our son arrived home one day to
