Dr. Peter Karas has been providing gentle effective chiropractic care for families in Hamburg and the surrounding communities since 1987. The Chiropractic Health Center of Hamburg is located in an old colonial style house that dates back to the 1800s. I chose this house for its convenient location at the intersection of Rt. 94 and Rt.

While in college, Dr. Karas was a biology major with a goal of either premed or the dental field. It was during a weight lifting session at the gym that his future changed direction. I hurt my back and went to a Chiropractor at the suggestion of a friend. I was amazed that after just one adjustment, my back pain was gone!
Over his many years in practice, Dr. Karas has developed a gentle, highly effective treatment approach to adjust his patients. Not using a lot of force, but gently coaxing the spinal segments to move is the key to not making a patient sore after an adjustment. No two people are alike and his skill set allows him to modify the treatment for each individual patient.
Patients diagnosed with bulging, herniated and degenerative discs as well as spinal and foraminal stenosis ( pinched nerve) may get relief from non-surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy. Dr. Karas has been using traction in his office for over 30 years. The older spinal traction tables applied a designated pull force to the spine but did it too abruptly.

Have been coming here for years and will never go anywhere else!! Had a car accident in 2006 which left me in so much constant pain. Without his chiropractic care and attention, I would of had to have surgery. My whole family has come for years too and he has treated and cured constant ear infections and especially my sons sport injuries which he is an expert at. He gives my son therapy and exercises which help him so much. He also knows about nutrition and whole food vitamins to help keep us healthy. Best chiro ever!!

Dr. Karas and his staff make being a patient in this office a very comfortable experience. Everyone is professional and compassionate. Dr. Karas is respectful, takes time to talk with you before the examination and explains everything. In my opinion, Dr. Karas is the number one chiropractor in Sussex County.
