When it comes to veterinary care, your pet deserves top quality, individualized care and you deserve a thorough understanding of your pet's health. These are the founding principles of Glen Mills Veterinary Hospital, a practice designed to provide compassionate, comprehensive patient care, and accurate, comprehensible information to clients.

Placing your beloved pet into our hands is a responsibility that we take very seriously at GMVH, and we believe that a close relationship between you and your veterinarian and medical support team is critical in maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients. We're here to provide our community with the highest quality veterinary service, because you and your pet deserve it!
Services
Our Wellness Care Program includes counsel on nutrition, behavior and preventative health care. We incorporate a vaccine protocol that is tailored to your pet's needs. A: The idea behind an annual physical for your pet is the same reason why we go to our human doctors for an annual physical. The sole purpose is to prevent more costly problems in the future by catching any asymptomatic diseases at their earliest stage.
Keeping up with oral examinations and oral health is vital to your pet's longevity. Periodontal disease is the most common problem we see in the mouths of pets and there are local and systemic consequences to dental conditions that can dramatically undermine the pet's overall health.

We are happy to discuss dental home care, veterinary dentist-approved treats and chews, and provide you with all the details surrounding a dental cleaning procedure, including advice on when and how often to consider pursuing one for your pet.
Surgery is a big decision, often with serious financial and emotional considerations. We're here to help you understand what is involved for your pet before, during and after surgery, and moreover to provide comfort and confidence in choosing us as the surgical center for your pet's procedure. We understand the importance of modern optimal anesthetic supervision and offer a wide array of surgical procedures at our hospital.
Radiography and Ultrasound are paramount in veterinary medicine. These imaging modalities are extremely informative and non-invasive, and rarely require sedation or anesthesia. Radiology is a very useful diagnostic tool in the veterinary hospital. The digital X-ray equipment we have in hospital provides 2-D images in seconds waiting to be reviewed by one of our veterinarians.
A donation of blood means giving the gift of life to an animal that is sick or injured. With the growing demand for more surgery and the increased use of transfusion therapy to treat many diseases, there is a great need for blood donation. Give your dog a chance to be someone's hero.

A complete physical is performed, a blood sample is collected and the following is verified: current vaccinations, and heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative history.Your dog's blood type will be verified and if he/she is DEA 1.1 negative. In addition to scheduled donations, our donors have the option of being available on an emergency basis.

They were great except for masking and distancing people. The Doctor was great with my dog and keep me informed thew out working on her. There were differences in opinions with Doctors

Blown away by the care we received last night from Dr. Stern and vet tech Dana, plus all of the amazing staff at the front desk! It was just a routine vaccine booster and heartworm/flea & tick preventative visit, but they were so willing to answer all of our questions. Our dog has inflammatory bowel disease and Glen Mills Vet has been so thoughtful about how he might respond to any change. It's also great to know that as a facility they have surgery, X-ray and ultrasound offerings - it's been hard to find a place that has all of that equipment and capabilities. Everyone was welcoming and friendly

Positive: Professionalism, Quality
Wonderful experience. My dog saw Dr. Sarah Stern. She clearly knew what she was doing, with incredible attention to detail and bedside manor — both for me and my dog. I knew he was in very good hands.

My dog is normally extremely nervous when going to the vet, refuses to take treats from them and shakes uncontrollably. First visit with Dr. Stern and Kristen and she was loving on them, stopped shaking easily and I had never seen her like that at the vet, especially on a day where she was getting shots and blood drawn. I would definitely recommend them and I'm happy I had them recommended to me. Everyone was extremely kind and caring and attentive.

I've been taking my dog here for the past 7 years and this is the best vet we've ever had! My dog genuinely gets excited whenever we pull up to the office, which says alot about the people who work here.

What a wonderful experience! The entire staff was extremely kind and helpful. Dr.Wilson took great care of our two fur babies. I had my six year old cat loving daughter with me, and she let her listen to their heartbeats which was super special. This is the kind of office you want to take your precious pets to. Top notch, all around!

This team of vets are by far the best in the area! They treat each animal (in our case, a dog) like its their own. If you're in need of veterinarian, this is your place. Highly recommended!

Everything about Glen Mills Veterinary Hospital is fantastic. I moved from Philly, and immediately needed to see them for my senior dog at the time, Carter. Kathy, the Vet Techs, and Dr. Parker are great. I have since referred both of my sisters and all of their dogs here, and they feel the same way!
Dr. Parker is probably the most thorough vet I have ever seen for my dogs. She gives you every possible scenario, gives you her opinion, and what she would do for her animals, if you ask!
I'd recommend coming here, even if it is a drive.... you will always be in good hands!
