Pan Am Florist

We received this orchid last week as a delivery and only 2 days in, we noticed the leaves wilting/translucent. They started to ooze fluid and just fell apart. Looking more closely it looks like the roots were moldy. (And I had not even attempted to water the plant at this point.) My brother also received an orchid from the same business on the same day and had the exact same problem, so it makes me suspicious that this florist does not know how to care for plants and are making deliveries that look nice upon arrival but do not last. :(

Beautiful arrangements!!! Have used PanAm Florist several times now...YumI is absolutely wonderful to work with... they even delivered out to South Riding . I have been more than pleased... consistently fresh flowers in beautiful arrangements...I live in Oakton and this is one very happy REAL customer and review

This floor shop was such a pleasure to work with. I was looking to do some centerpieces for a bridal shower. Youmi Took her time to come up with different ideas, listen to what I was looking for and still maintain my budget! Everybody loved the flowers and I couldn't have been happier with the end result. Even more than that, Youmi was very communicative across the entire process.

I am HIGHLY suspicious of these 5 start ratings because the consistency of the complaints vs. the other "great" reviews. Buyer beware.

But don't take my word for it. A picture says it much better. Let me introduce you to my $85 dollar "amazing self-destructing bridal bouquet". Why did we call it the "amazing self-destructing bouquet"? Because if you so much as looked at it - something fell out. Wilted greenery, wilted poinsettias, wilted roses.
Issues:
1) This florist is a hack and DOES not know what they are doing.
2) They used a $6 buck Michael

Pan Am Florist is a great place to get flowers for a special someone or occasion! The store is a local family run florist with affordable pricing and services. I walked in and was able to get serviced immediately. They were friendly, professional and very quick! I asked for a nice bouquet, gave her a budget and they were very attentive, helping me select the right colors appropriate for the occasion. After purchading the bouquet of flowers, they even assisted me with securing it in my car. They also do online orders and deliveries in the area. Pay this local florist a visit the next time you need

Received my second bouquet from Pan Am Florist today, both arrangements were spectacular! An artistic mix of sunflowers and roses. Yuni, who I spoke to on the phone, was very helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend this florist. Many thanks from Mr. Frank.

I've been meaning to review Pan Am Florist since last year when they saved me some time and money. I called around to almost every florist in the Northern VA / DC area to find blue hydrangeas for some birthday centerpieces. Most were very upfront letting me know that these sell out quickly or must be special ordered for a pretty penny. All of them quoted ridiculously high prices to order them. I tried going in person to those wholesale florists but blue hydrangeas aren't the most common.

I recently used Pan Am Florist to arrange flowers for my Aunt's memorial service. The florist sat down with my mother and I and showed us several examples of memorial arrangements. She was patient and helped us stay within a budget. We ordered a centerpiece arrangement to hold a framed picture and two side arrangements. The center flowers were a mix of red, green, and white flowers. The side arrangements were mostly red flowers.

On the day of the memorial service the flowers arrived on time. They were fresh and so beautifully put together. I thought they did a great job on such short notice

Best place to get high school dance corsages. Always friendly and reasonably priced. Flowers are fresh and prepared in time. My family has used them for this for years.

My boyfriend ordered me flowers from here. They were delivered in a timely manner, and the roses were beautiful. The arrangement did not come in the vase advertised, it came in a standard, cheap, cylinder vase which is typically used to deliver wedding bouquets...so, a throw away vase.

I used their website to order some Valentine's Day flowers for my fiance (whose favorite holiday is Valentine's Day), and they never showed up. I called around 5:45 in the evening to see where they were and was told they were out for delivery and that they have a lot of deliveries to make. Once 9:00 hit, I called again and was told that the flowers weren't delivered (clearly).

What is the job of a florist? To serve as a liaison between someone who wishes they could be there in person for someone, but can't. In this particular situation, some friends and I wished more than anything we could be there for a fellow friend. Something very tragic occurred and we are scattered all over the United States. One friend went through 1-800- Flowers and they outsourced to Pan Am. The flowers were delivered on Wednesday, January 22, around 2:00. When our friend found the flowers, sadly they were dead. Granted, it was 10 degrees but shouldn't the florist have known

Words cannot describe how disgusted i am with Pan Am Florist. Several friends and I had flowers delivered to our friend in a time of need because we all felt terrible we could not be there with her to mourn a devastating loss. To hear the flowers we sent her were dead was bad enough. But, to add insult to injury, the florist was extremely rude to her when she called asking about a replacement. Reading other reviews, it appears this is not the first time this "florist" has had the same complaints. I would only recommend using this florist if you want to be disappointed and then attacked

I was desperately searching for a florist on the way to Fairfax Hospital, and this was the closest one that came up besides the gift shop in the hospital itself. I will never visit Pan Am Florist again and I cannot recommend it in any way.

When I entered the shop, I was greeted by a barking dog and 2 small children. It was only when I asked about the availability of a flower arrangement (there were NONE on display except for those that had delivery tags on them) that an adult appeared.

There were no arrangements from which to choose and a very small selection of cut flowers available for sale

An arrangement that was ordered from fromyouflowers.com looked nothing like the picture. All of the colors were wrong, the roses were small. The round arrangement was designed to have a front and back rather than round, presumably to use fewer flowers. For now on I will call Karin's Florist in Vienna. They are much better!

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME by going to this florist. First of all, they don't know what they are doing. They don't know the first thing about flowers, their names and seasonal availability --- seriously, they have a flower shop!!!!! I had spent almost 2 hours going over what i wanted for my wedding flowers at an appointment i set up one weekend. They said since they are busy they can't provide me the quote until after 1 month. I was fine with that. But i got so mad when i called at the date they said they will provide the quote to find out that they don't even remember a thing

THIS PLACE RUINED MY VALENTINES DAY! My fiance was trying to surprise me with flowers for Valentines Day!..Well he didn't want to take a chance dealing with a major flower company because it was V-day and he didn't want to risk me not getting them. So a week before Valentines Day he goes into Pan Am Florist which is literally 2 minutes from where i work and pays for a flower arrangement and DELIVERY to my job. (I work so close to pan am that i could have been walked there). So valentines day comes and i get nothing.. finally my fiance who is livid by now ask me did i get a delivery.

This florist sent poor quality flowers in a vase that did not match the description and then, when a complaint was made, called up the purchaser (us), did not apologize but simply asked "Are you going to return the flowers." My reply was that they could come and pick up the flowers as they were completely different than what was ordered.

Do not use this merchant.
