We have seen 2 different Vets @ Buckley Veterinary Hospital for our pups and liked them both. We always feel like our dogs are in good hands. We switched over to follow Dr Watts from a different practice, and let me say the experience is night and day! I always recommend you guys to anyone with pets!

They had been my dogs caregiver for most of his 12 years with us. Turns out, when we needed them most, they let us down. Our Gloden had hip pain and they prescribed two medications. Our dog reacted badly to the meds with side effects that were unknown to us. We called daily and left messages, most were returned., one was not.. Our appointment was in one week, they told us just stay the course. We described what was happening daily as our dog deteriorated. I don't think the actual vet ever knew what was happening. Buckley Veterinary Hospital staff is always caring and kind. Their communication during the day of surgery is wonderful. Their post-surgery instructions are clear and concise. I especially love the follow up text the day after surgery to check on the patient - if only people doctors cared enough to do the same! Love their office, their staff's willingness to listen to any concerns and every transaction with BVH has been professional and easy. We appreciate you so much!

This is the best veterinary hospital I have ever been to!
They are so helpful when my cat was very sick and were the only hospital that answered questions that I had. I had taken my cat to multiple locations and paid money with no answers when he was very sick, but these guys were different and so personal and helpful.
I am very grateful and recommend going here.

I wouldn’t trust the life & care of my yorkies to anyone BUT Dr. Stevens or Dr Watts! They give sincere loving care without pushing extra procedures that I’m not comfortable with. Thank you for being there with love & compassion when the hard days came and we had to say goodbye to Joey & Samson.

I live an hour away from Buckley Veterinarian, got a new three legged tripod from Mexico .
First I took her to vet close to home …Never got to talk to the Doctor they never came out to the car which is what the assistance do since COVID-19 .
They never did address the issue that I took my dog in which was her stump kept getting hit and I needed someway to protect it .
Looking for another vet a dear friend of mine had an appointment in Buckley with two of her dogs .
They let my dog go in on her appointment one of her dogs was just getting a regular check up .
The vet actually came out to

I absolutely love this place. I wish I would have discovered them sooner, but they will definitely be our pets vet from here on out. Everyone I have had contact with there has been super caring, honest and professional. Both the vet tech and vet got down on the ground and sat with my scared dog. They didn’t make me put him up on the table because they knew that would scare him more. They are very compassionate with all animals and made me feel comfortable as an animal parent. Dr Stevens is an amazing vet and I will always entrust our animals to her care. She has always been there for them and is truly an inspiration to the vet world. The staff at Buckley Vet are always so helpful and caring. I would highly recommend this Veterinary Hospital. We have been using their services for probably close to 20 years.

The owner, Dr Woods is one of the worst vets I have had to deal with in probably 20 years. She is extremely condescending towards owners making them feel like they purposely failed to care for their pet thus causing whatever event that happened. I have seen and heard the same reviews about this vet. If I need to see a vet at Buckley I purposely ask that I not see Woods. I have had no issue with the other vets and in fact they have been both caring and professional. To my dismay I have heard Woods is going to my usual location at Lake Tapps Vet. I have been there many years and with many pets

First time at this Veterinary clinic. I am not sure I understand the negative reviews from other posts as this was not my experience, at all. My dog was treated at a local Vet hospital for congestive heart failure. Now, between the ER visit and the previous vet that I had been with for 20 years, I felt my dog was a paycheck for them, especially seeing my desperate plea to help him. I'm very skeptical whenever taking my animals to the vet's because I feel like the auto industry, which I personally am in, is more in the business of making money than it is actually helping people. Let me start by saying the place really holds up to its reviews ... from the office staff to the veterinarian herself I felt that my animal was significant and cared for. Their website says they take emergencies and have a vet and staff 6 days a week. It even says to come right in. But when I called I was told they have no vet in the office and are booked until monday (it's tuesday). So I would not say they take emergencies. Glad I did not take my dog there without calling first.

The vet My dog saw today was so completely rude and tried to imply that we were not trying to help our dog not only have we done everything that she has told us we also have seen the dog dermatologist they recommend for allergies I have spent over 5000$ on just this issue we have done blood test done the food trial and taken all the medications that they have recommended minus the human chemotherapeutic medication which had horrible possible side effects and cost over $800 for a month and they still weren't sure if it would even help. Very ill run practice. Every time I have taken my two dogs in, I've had to wait no less than 25 minutes to be seen. The last straw was yesterday with both of my dogs there, I asked for Trifexis prescriptions for both of my dogs. At check out, the invoice was marked up 200%! I went home to check my other invoices from my prior vet and Buckley vet is charging 150% more than a West Seattle practice. I checked online costs and they're charging 200% more than retail. I went back less than 24 hours to return the *sealed* packages and was told no. She explained that it was their policy

I went there today with the heaviest of heart knowing today was my last day with my beloved dog. The staff was so caring, compassionate and professional. They walked and talked me through the procedure to euthanize my dog. They took care of me as well as my pet and made the visit as easy as possible. I cannot say enough the about the staff, they were the best, given the circumstance. I am heartbroken, but this clinic is top notch.

We have two lab mixes with some behavior needs. The vets have always been very good with our two dogs and the receptionist is always great at getting our dogs into a room quickly rather than waiting in the waiting room with other people and pets. One of our dogs started having seizures. The vet was very clear on what our next steps would be depending on how our dog reacted to the meds. She was patient and answered all my questions. After another seizure occurred she told me what I needed to do and if he had another seizure to call and ask to talk directly to her. Everything seemed to be going well

First time visiting here, couldn't be happier! I have a German shepherd who has some social "issues". Dr. Stevens handled him like a pro, was patient and understanding. Captain only tried to eat her a few times... Sorry! She took it in stride and did what was best for my pal! Staff was all friendly and professional. Will definitely recommend these professionals to others.

Absolutely love this place. Any questions I have they will always help me with any concern I have on any of my pets, and will always make me feel better about my animals care. I will always trust my animals being here, knowing they are in good hands. Dr. Wood is the absolute best and always treats my animals with love and care. We recently moved to the area and decided to transfer our services there. That was a mistake. We have a new puppy and they did an OK job with him. He did have an infection that they missed. They seem to think I didn't know how to raise a puppy (he is my 4th I have raised) The third time we took him in they finally gave us medication that cleared him up in 24 hours. We also have a lab that blew out a knee and I took him in. We met with Dr. Stevens. She is very sweet and was great. However, they could not get their surgeon in there for 3 weeks. Front desk girl Hailey is RUDE and needs to learn how to smile! Not just once, 3 times now I've had to deal with her. I'm not gonna drop $150 everytime I go in there to get an attitude from her. I'll be finding a new vet because of her.

My problem is not the treatment received I think the techs and Vet have a good knowledge of what they are doing however they do seem to be shifty when it comes to charges. They do test and give medications without explaining any charges or cost, and then when we came back for the follow up my charge was almost twice what I was told it would be because again another test was done without me being able to accept or decline and not being advised that it was an additional charge. I am a full time student living on my disabled veterans benefits so my income is incredibly limited so have two surprising

I ran out of pain meds over the thanksgiving holiday for my dog who is dying of cancer. She is requiring more and more to get comfortable. They refused to refill the medicine unless I brought her in for an office visit. Even though my vet called them they still refused. Clearly they prioritize money over an animals comfort. My little dog has an appointment with her regular vet first thing monday morning.

Needed some medication for my dog, and this was the only place I was able to find it. I called all the places nearer to my home, but didn't have any luck, and the BVH was just about my last resort. Staff was really knowledgeable, and were able to answer all my questions about the new medication. I'd be back again if I were ever in the area and my pet needed anything.
