I was impressed with Jim when I brought in my little jeep for a tailpipe and muffler but I have to say I'm beyond words for what he did to an old 400,000 mile truck. He made this old truck drive like a Cadillac, I never thought it would run this smooth for as many miles are on this beast.

Jim is great! Really helped me out of a jam with my car.
My family and I were on a road trip and pulled off into Coal City to grab lunch. That's when we noticed a strange sound coming from our car. Uh oh. That's not good when we are hundreds of miles from home with the two kids.
I found Absolute Automotive on Google Maps and took the car in. Jim was so nice and was able to fix our car's issue in roughly the time it took us to eat lunch. We were back on the road and the car was running great again. Jim really saved us. Thanks, Jim!

I had an oil leak on the front passenger side of my Equinox. I was able to get my car checked over quickly. I would have had to wait a week elsewhere in town. They found no active oil leak after running it for 45 minutes. Most likely a crankshaft valve is leaking oil slowly and so I will have to bring back in a couple of days to continue proper diagnosis and eventually get fixed. He also gave me a fair quote on what the cost might be for such a repair. The owner didn’t charge me to do any of the diagnosis. I greatly appreciate his honesty, attention to detail, and for great customer service.

I come from a family of auto mechanics. Unfortunately, they live in another state. Finding a good, honest mechanic is really difficult. Many take advantage of your ignorance to overcharge.
My daughter found Absolute Automotive in Coal City. I needed a brake job. Jim, the owner, did a fantastic job and charged a fair price.
I recently experienced the dreaded "Check Engine" light phenomenon and took my car to Absolute. The diagnostics were inconclusive. Jim conducted a couple of weeks of research into finding the cause of the phantom light. In the end, he replaced the intake manifold gasket and
