Services
J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel was established in 1923 by J. Allen and Rita Hooper. J. Allen and Rita were the owners and operators of the funeral home until Mr. Hooper's death. Rita sold the funeral home to Peter J. "Jack" Soltis, Jr. in 1978. Jack had worked for Mr. Hooper as an intern and was very familiar with the town and the philosophy that the funeral home was built on.
At J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. We live in Florida and our 102 year old Grandma passed away. Gram was from Newtown PA and her wishes were to be buried in the Graveyard there. J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel did a outstanding job for her service they had a painted portrait of her along with a Tapestry and other items to memorialize her in such a way everyone was amazed at the care, kindness, and love they showed the family at such a difficult time. In my 60 plus years I have never seen another Funeral Chapel go above the normal measures like J. Allen Hooper. We can't Thank them enough for the thoughtful ways they provided her service

J Allen was great from beginning to end. They explained everything clearly, and even better, did exactly what they said they would do. It is a difficult ordeal to say goodbye to a loved one, but J Allen made it so I didn't have to worry about anything except honoring and celebrating that person. I would definitely recommend them to any one.

I chose J Allen Hooper for final arrangements for my husband based on reviews because we moved to PA only four years prior.
I found the good reviews to be true and was pleased with the services provided.
The owner Steve is easy to talk to and put me at ease during a very difficult time. He thoroughly explains options but is very open to do what you want as well.
I was able to have the small private Memorial service I preferred in the warm, beautiful room that made all who attended feel at home.
