Currently in our third generation of family ownership, Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel was founded by our father and grandfather, Harold Orland, to provide a highly personal funeral service to our community. Today, families in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York region receive our compassionate, attentive service, as well as our commitment to honoring the bonds of family and faith.
We are an independently-owned, full-service funeral home offering chapel seating for 200 people and off street parking for 80 cars. We specialize in attentive and detailed pre-planning to meet all needs. We proudly serve all communities and cemeteries. Through our professional network (KAVOD) we are able to coordinate services in all 50 states and internationally.

You are welcome to call us if you prefer to speak on the phone first. 100% of funds received for pre-planned funerals are deposited in the purchaser's name in the New Jersey Prepaid Funeral Trust Fund, or CHOICES. This fund provides excellent consumer protections and flexibility. The arrangements are not set in stone.
A service at our funeral chapel involves a ceremony at our facility, which has private parking for 80 cars and seating for over 200 people. The funeral procession will then embark for the cemetery. Once there, a short committal service will take place before the final disposition. Much the same as above, except the funeral ceremony will take place at a suitable place of your choosing.
This includes those who were in this area when the funeral home was established 60 years ago, and those who have become prominent in the area since then. We are familiar with most funeral customs across the community, and we are eager to learn about and accommodate any tradition or practice. The foyer and hallways are wide and can accommodate large picture and floral displays which can be perused as guests make their way to the register book.

The hardest thing that I ever had to do in my life to date, was lay my mom who unexpectedly passed away to rest. Never imagining that I would have to do it so early in my life and not knowing what to do, Max and his father made the entire process smooth and seamless with compassion and empathy that was truly felt. My mother and I held spiritual beliefs different from that of the rest of my family and Max was able to accommodate both our beliefs, respectfully and with ease. Because of my mom's beliefs, I searched for a funeral home who regarded natural burial and found Orland's. I'm so grateful

My family and I just wanted to thank Joel and his son Max for their compassion and help through this difficult time. With COVID and delaying mom's burial, it had been a long drawn out process. The graveside service was perfect and Max, you were so wonderful at making me, my brother and our family and friends feel supported and at ease. Joel always answered my calls promptly and provided support and referrals for additional services I needed to help make the celebration of my mom's life complete. I would highly recommend Orland's Chapel.

I recently had the responsibility of burying an aunt who did not have any immediate family. I live out of state and needed a funeral home to assist in the process of obtaining my aunt from her home, preparing her body according to tradition, finding a grave site, and offering a funeral service with dignity. I quickly realized the benefits of using a family run funeral home, such as Orlands, as I was offered a compassionate experience as opposed to a service-for-fee menu of generic burial options. I can't thank them enough for "holding my hand" at this difficult time. I highly recommend them.

My mother passed away earlier this year. Within an hour of contacting Orland’s, I felt as if they had only my family’s best interests at heart. Max and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate. As they led us through a difficult time, they maintained control of every aspect of the burial and memorial. Any concern or question was addressed and answered promptly. The services provided were done seamlessly. We are extremely appreciative for all Orland’s provided.

In November ( in the midst of the Pandemic), my. Mom passed in Florida with me in New Jersey and my sister in Seattle. We had no idea how to handle the situation with my Mom being buried in New Jersey. Max Orland came to the rescue. He handled everything from getting my Mom back to New Jersey to attending the funeral which was zoomed to loved ones. When a loved one passes, the last thing survivors need is to handle all the details. I can’t imagine how we would have handled everything if not for Max and Orland Funeral Hone. We are all grateful.

Orland's handled the arrangements for my father three years ago, and most recently for my mother. The services provided by Max and Joel, with compassion and respect, made a devastating situation less difficult to navigate. Professional, compassionate, kind and every detail handled correctly. All our wishes were respected. My family and I could not have asked for anything more.
