Neptune Nature School utilizes an enriched and diverse learning environment for our students-the outdoors. Founded in 2017, our School is based in Alameda, Ca and uses the various open nature areas of the East Bay as our classroom. Our teachers are passionate, experienced and eager to share their knowledge and experience with their students.

Services
Introducing Alameda's first forest-style preschool! Formed by a couple of preschool teachers looking to provide a play-based, nature-filled experience where children would go home filthy and exhausted from a busy day of exploration, play, negotiation, art, and social-emotional development, Neptune serves 2.5-6 year-olds with a preschool, TK, and kindergarten program in local nature reserves and parks.
Step 2. If you feel we are a good match and you would like to join our program, request a registration form. Once your child is accepted. We offer open enrollment year-round, when and if space is available. Generally, Fall admissions begin with a visit the year before, and open spaces are released in January for the upcoming school year.
Our child came home from nature school happy, excited, dirty, tired, and full of stories and adventures-every single day. He gained so much confidence and trust in himself and formed beautiful friendships with his fellow-adventurers. Now that he's in kindergarten, he really misses all the tree climbing and outdoor time.
Sign up for week-long sessions in local parks and nature preserves with your trusted preschool teachers facilitating endless opportunities for deep, meaningful engagement in our local outdoor spaces. Camp runs M-F 9-1 & 9-4. Children 2.5-8 years of age welcome. Children who bring bikes or scooters will have the option of extending their learning area with riding adventures.

Neptune Nature School has been amazing for our daughter, which enriches and amplifies her strong, confident, creative and curious nature in every way. I can't imagine a better group for her to spend these early pre-school years with. The staff "get it" on a level that is rare and inspiring. So grateful to be a part of it!
