Catalyst Property Management was founded in 2007, by former mailman Mark Lunt, and has provided an industry-leading service in Northern Utah ever since. It was during his past life as a mailman visiting neighborhoods all around Logan that he began picking up rental properties. This was the start of something special, as his fruitless search for a property management company that shared his unique, proactive ethos led him to start this company.

I have been using Catalyst Property Management to manage my townhome in Logan for many years. They have a high degree of expertise in their field. When it comes time to find new tenants, they will advertise in a number of different internet sites. They will help clean and repair the property so that it will show at its best. They will provide a virtual tour of the property on line. They will also have the necessary walk through showings as soon as requested. They also have the experience to price the rental unit correctly in the Logan market. It is important that your rent is not priced over market

We called management on Friday to report our power being out, and it has been three days of us with no power and no one getting back to us - in July heat. Our washer hasn't worked since we moved in - 9 months ago. They consistently make empty promises of repairs with no actual follow through. The house and yard were in shambles when we moved in, to the point where it took us two full weekends just to clean up the mess they had left us. I’m sure it’s fine enough to be an owner working with this company, but they lack professionalism in so many ways. I don’t like rental management companies, but this is the worst one I have ever worked with and anyone I’ve talked to that has rented with them has told me to steer clear.
Whenever I reported an issue to them (always had to call because their “portal” on their site never worked and wasn’t updated), it would take days and me “following up” repeatedly to get a straight answer. Now they want to turn around and charge $700 for cleaning and I’ve never had to pay more

Catalyst rentals was absurdly easy to work with. With limited time to find a new place to live, they were incredibly responsive and treated us as friends more than customers. Hunter Morris, the agent that helped us, made the rental process a breeze. He broke down every detail of the leasing process and made it easy to digest. Any questions we had he was on the ball with an answer quick. 100% would rent from this company again.

After talking with them I have a better understanding about their processes of maintenance work. It was not electrical tape they used it was a pipe fixing tape and I also have a better understanding on why it takes some time for them to get back to us on some work orders and thats because they are waiting on approval from the owners. Overall catalyst is a great company. Thank you for making things more clear for me about how things work!

If only I could warn everyone looking to rent a property from Catalyst. The issues began from move in and went all the way through getting the deposit back. I asked following my walk through of the house if the carpet was going to be cleaned because I noticed a terrible smell (a mix of cigarettes and cat litter). They guaranteed it would be and on moving day the smell -- and an abundance of stains -- were still there. I complained and the property paid to have it done again, but it was after we had moved in. So we had to take time off from our jobs to be home to move furniture around the house

I am a landlord and have recently rented out my property with Catalyst Property Management. They have been truly wonderful and have made what was quite a daunting job into a positive experience. In the short time I have been with them, they seem very knowledgeable, trustworthy and professional. Joe has been great and always answers the phone or quickly returns my phone calls. Other than a small maintenance issue, which they made right with me, everything has been great.

I rented from Catalyst Rentals a few years ago and had a wonderful experience. I have a large (80+lbs) black lab and had an extremely hard time finding a great place to rent that would allow my dog. Catalyst didn't blink an eye at him. He has always been a mellow, calm, and well behaved lab, but some property owners wouldn't even give us a second look. Thanks to Catalyst I was able to rent through them for 2 great years while saving to buy a house. Now we are looking to upgrade to a bigger house to start a family and are wanting to rent out our first home. I wouldn't even consider any other rental
