Shepherdsville is located just south of Louisville, Kentucky and offers residents an alternative place to live for those who want a smaller town option. Residents are close enough to the Metro area that the commute is under 30-minutes into Louisville's downtown corridor. Shepherdsville has grown in popularity over the past 10-years with an 11% increase in population.
Once named the most beautiful small town in America, by Rand Mcnally and USA Today, Bardstown is a destination for those who live near and far. There are still nearly 300 buildings still standing today that are on the National Registry of Historical Places. Some are located right downtown and house restaurants, bed and breakfasts, and small shops.
Elizabethtown is quickly becoming one of Kentucky's premier communities with tremendous opportunity for growth and plenty of quality of life perks. The city's location is ideal because it is located so close to midsize cities like Louisville but also close to major metropolitan centers like Indianapolis and Nashville.
Mount Washington has grown in popularity among Kentucky residents due to its proximity to Louisville. In fact, some call it a great commuter market into the metro area while still offering a quiet community atmosphere for those looking for a little more room to spread out. In just the past decade the population has spiked from around 9-thousand residents to well over 15,000 in that time frame.
