Chicanes Restaurant & Bar

Chicanes accommodated our group of 12 and did an outstanding job. We had Erika (I hope I am spelling her name correctly) and she did a great job serving all of us. She was very friendly and polite which means a lot when you are dealing with a bigger group that has constant, individual needs. I ordered the Supreme Christina which was extremely tender and the sauce was outstanding! If I had to be picky, there wasn't enough green beans on my plate but the overall experience outweighed that little detail. I noticed that my friend's filet was cooked perfectly and everyone was extremely pleased

Nice place and hotel on the waterfront. The rooms are nice clean kept up. The food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic such a great place to have fun the people are great as well that this is another place that I like to go out to eat at. My mother in-law goes here twice per week every Tuesday and Friday nights to eat.

Stayed at the hotel connected to this restaurant and had a lovely dinner here. Caesar salad and pork schnitzel with mashed potatoes and green beans were simple and delicious. Fries were yummy too. Person who took our order on the phone was lovely too. Only complaint is kid's hamburger was overcooked, but I didn't specify a temperature. Solid hotel restaurant. Would definitely return :).

We just celebrated my mom's 100th birthday here, and it was fantastic!!!

We've been coming to Chicanes since 2010, when my parents moved to Sebring, and have celebrated many events over the years. We even celebrated my mom's 90th birthday here. So when it came time to plan this 100th birthday celebration, my brother didn't hesitate to make reservations at Chicanes.

Chrissy, the manager, went out of her way and bent over backwards, not only to accommodate our party of 11, but to make sure EVERYTHING was perfect. She set us up in a beautiful private room and even hung decorations

My fiance and I made reservtions at Chicanes for our anniversary based purely on reviews. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess who said she had the perfect spot for us. She took us to a table with candles lit and a lovely view of little jackson lake! In my opinion it was the best spot in the restaurant! Perfect for a romatic date! We were greeted by our server (Jewell) who welcomed us very pleasantly! The service was impeccable! We ordered our beverages which were delived to the table immediately and then offered the special, which was the Mahi Mahi served or a cilantro couscous! It

I was traveling out of town to work in Avon Park and this place had a menu that was appealing to me so I stopped on by for a late lunch. (side note- this was 3 weeks ago before COVID mania started). I walked in and stood at the front for 5 minutes before some older gentleman asked if I had been helped. When I said no, he asked "What do you need?" I was slightly taken aback as I was confused why he would even ask that question. I said "I am hungry and want to eat." He immediately turned red with embarrassment and said "OH! Ok. I work upstairs but I can seat you."

The interior of this restaurant is so cute! It looks like it has been pretty recently redone with clean white walls and gray accents in conjunction with what look to be beautiful, original tile flooring. The view was wonderful, we were able to watch the birds come and go on the water. We got there right before they stopped serving lunch. I got the Grouper Reuben since that's one of the dishes they're known for. I hate to say I was disappointed. The grouper was bland, the sauerkraut was bland and the dressing was bland. Chicanes used to be great!
Something has happened, new chef or something, as we used to be able to get a gluten free meal with a slight adjustment to the menu, not anymore, the menu hasn't changed but something has, the escargot was tasteless. We won't be going back any more.

We have been to Chicanes before and have really enjoyed it. With that said our experience last night during their grand re-opening was less then satisfying. The Grouper in lemon sauce was awful. The Blue Cheese dressing tasted like mayonnaise. The filet was mealy in texture.

We spoke with the manager and said we were surprised as we expected it to be as good as it was and in the recent past. She gave us a small discount, which we did not ask for...

We will not be returning!

Something is happening at Chicanes
and it's not good.
First of all, the wood tables and chairs
are all look extremely chipped, the lack of
linen on the table doesn't help. The theme
of well used, continued to the waiters apron
it was filthy, so much so I was concerned about
the cleanliness of the kitchen.
The waiter seemed unsure about the menu offerings
including, the daily soup special. Why?
One of our meals was wrong, after we were
very specific about the preparation, which caused
our party to eat at different times.

Oh my goodness!! Yareli was the absolute BOMB for our waitress!!
The food was delicious - and the early bird came with a glass of wine! ... or 2 since my husband doesn't drink... more for me!
I needed a place of rest after a extremely hard day, and the respite of the lake view fit the bill!

It was expensive and weird. Up charged 12.00 for a ceaser salads. Have zero reasons to come back.
Management never came to table.

Food is good. It better be under the tyranny of the avidly aggressive and bitter owner.

Shrimp scampi was delicious. fettacini Alfredo was fair but only Luke warm.
Red Wine did not arrive until half way through meal and was quite chilled. Was told they chill all the red wines. Very noisy.

I don't know about those behind Yelp, but when I frequent an eating establishment, I do NOT expect to be subjected to overhearing the management using PROFANITY directed at the waitstaff while trying to enjoy my meal! Apparently Chicanes has something to hide, my initial review was reported/removed "because it appears to be about employment issues"?!
Our meal was ruined by the terrible atmosphere, AS WELL AS the OVERPRICED MEDIOCRE FOOD!! I guess I was remiss in focusing on the fact that the atmosphere overshadowed the awful meal.

The redeeming value at Chicanes is its people...they're (mostly) always nice.
And the setting of the restaurant is fantastic!

Super fresh and delicious!! I had shrimp cocktail followed by a blackened chicken ceasar salad. Lettuce was the white hearts of romaine just how I like it and the chicken was nicely blackened and delicious!! My husband had one of the best burgers. Incredible roll, meat cooked to perfection fries could have been a little crispier however tasty just the same.

They give you fantastic bread and butter....try not to fill up on it!

Definitely the fanciest dinner that I had during my five weeks in Sebring, Chicanes is the place to go for date night. Delightful location with subdued lighting, excellent decorating and a comfy booth that was almost quiet enough to drown out the "Happy Birthday" singers at other tables.

I had the French Onion Soup to start, which was excellent except for the gigantic tower of fried onion strings on top. After sliding that to the side, the soup was rich and the cheese was perfectly melted on top. Very nice.

For main, the salmon was great. Not the thickest filet, but it was tasty and
