Cang's Sushi Restaurant

The first thing you notice when you walk in is the stale smell. It almost smelled like cigarette smoke. We ordered shumai which came out with no sauce. We ate several of the shumai before the server brought teriyaki sauce. The sushi was good. My mil ordered Boubon Chicken and the portion was huge. We took it home with some extra rice for tonight's dinner.

Does anyone this restaurant offer gluten free items? My niece has allergies and we love this place and want to bring her. This is a serious allergy...can even eat anything cut with a knife that touched gluten...must use clean knife.

Always love getting dinner here! They make my rice just the way I want it, and my family is always satisfied!

Food was good packed with flavor. Egg drop and miso soup was spot on. Yellow tail and scallion was really good. Eel sushi was really good as well. California roll was good. Prices are reasonable.

Love this place! Always so good! We love everything from the lettuce wraps to sushi!! So good you might have to wait but it's worth it! Friendly service...of course given that very few people want to work currently they have staffing shortage.

We stopped at this place on the way to Winter Haven. I am going to give this place a 4 out of 5 stars. The service was good 4/5. The food was good but the portions are small 4/5. The prices are OK compared to the portions 4/5. We didn't wait long 5/5. If we are ever around the are, I would revisit.

Rose was a great server but the food was very sub par. The Kung Pao chicken was more like Kung Pao zucchini. The spicy salmon hand roll arrived after setting for a long time. The seaweed was like rubber because it collected so much moisture. My friends meal, the Mongolian delight was mostly onion and had two shrimp. My other friend had the general tsos bento box but ten generals chicken was sweet and sour. Needless to say we were unimpressed and won't be back.

Slim pickings’ in the Lake Placid area and this place is one of them! Bento boxes aren’t a bad deal. Two for one drinks are always a win.
Our last visit left a strange taste on the palate, however our waitress was very nice. The food wasn’t super great (aside from the bento box, the little one loved it), so we just told the waitress that we didn’t like the dish, and she said she had to tell the manager. The manager comes over and says -
“This is how we make it, you can’t just try something and get it for free. We will take half off, but next time you come in, you must pay for all

We use to order from here a lot. Atleast once a week and it was always good! The last two times we ordered it was horrible. Mushy sushi, order was wrong, miscommunication. Maybe we will give them some time to get things situated and try again but overall I wouldn't recommend them lately.

I needed my sushi fix , Szechuan beef was excellent. Today's vegi and salad was very very crisp Was a very pleasant experience and will return soon.

Singapore noodles and shrimp are a hit. Hot n sour soup delicious. Friendly service!

Great service and solid sushi rolls. The Thai curry w beef was pretty disappointing, not much curry flavor or heat, and the beef was chewy and fatty.

An extraordinary find. The service was personalized and over the top. An excellent waitress. Pad Thai and sushi deluxe . Both excellent

The place to go for sushi. They have stepped up their presentation and quality since the new owners took over.
Their menu is diverse if you don't like sushi, so don't miss out on authentic cuisine.

Good food. Quiet restaurant. Nice service. Sushi is fresh and made to order. Great for a business lunch or dinner when you need to talk because the room is well designed to avoid chatting noises. Always been happy when I've left with my meal.

This place is amazing. Anytime you find a great fresh sashimi joint enjoy it! Spicey Kani salad is amazing. Service is top notch - bathroom is pleasantly clean (big deal for the area). All the cuts are bigger than expected - bit there's always room to add the smoked salmon. - I'm not a hibachi guy but whatever is going on back there smells amazing too! You Have To Stop In - it's worth it!

Sushi was so fresh and delicious! Service was good. Waitress was nice. They give you fried wonton chips with the sweet sauce as an appetizer for free.

We needed to find a place to eat and prefer asiannwhen we are driving through a new place.
We found Cang's and was very pleased.
They substituted chicken for tofu in the dish I ordered Bourbon chicken and it was good. But because we were the only customers in the place I was worried about ordering sushi so I just ordered 2 pieces of yellowtail. The minute I tasted it I was upset I didn't order more! It was perfect. Room temp as its supposed to be and fresh.
The waitstaff was very attentive.

So if you find yourself in the lake June area, stop in.

Love this place. Authentic flavor. You can feel how each roll is carefully hand-crafted and masterfully prepared. You can taste the freshness of the sashimi. Service is great and food comes out pretty quick for how great it tastes and how nice it looks.
